Questions & Answers

Will a Verizon wireless home phone box work with this? The phone must be plugged directly into one of the two jacks on the back. ?

In the back of my wireless home phone box, there are two phone jacks. It ought to work fine.

What is the ringer volume on an incoming call? My mother doesn't hear the phone ring unless she is close by, which is a problem for us. ?

It was extremely loud. I'm pretty sure it's also movable.

Does it continue to ring until it is answered, or does it stop after a certain number of rings?

The phone will continue to ring until the caller hangs up.

Is this phone compatible with the Portuguese language?

I have no idea. It runs on 120V AC at 60Hz in the United States. Other models for the United Kingdom and Europe were also discovered. If you really like it, check out the EM website to see if there is a Euro version. I liked a model for the United Kingdom, but it only had UK connectors and ran at 50 Hz, so I chose this one. This model has disappointed me vs. A built-in digital display for caller ID was included in the UK model. To go along with this, I had to purchase a $45 add-on digital display. Aside from that, the large buttons are fantastic, the volume adjustment is fantastic, and the pre-programmed music is fantastic. Buttons that can be programmed come in handy. This is being used at my mother's house to help her communicate with us more effectively. She is in her mid-eighties and deafeningly deafeningly deafeningly deafeningly de We now have solid conversations, and she recalls them as well - because she is a member of the group and knows what's going on. Excellent product.

Mom is aware of our presence - You won't have to say the same thing over and over again - It is simple to use
5/5

This was purchased for my octogenarian mother, who suffers from hearing loss. We set her up with this phone and a digital caller id display in series because I am used to repeating everything I say three or more times and still being misunderstood. She now answers the phone and greets me because she recognizes my voice from the display. Then we have a great conversation; she understands everything I say, and I haven't had to repeat myself in over a month since she's had this phone. Because it is a British-made device, I looked for user reviews in the United Kingdom. The British have a reputation for being harsh critics. This was THE best rated phone for hearing impaired in the UK and their ratings were around the 90 mark. As a result, we purchased it because UK ratings are never "overstated. " We like it a lot. Mom is paying attention to us.

This is ideal for senior citizens
5/5

This was a gift for my mother. law who has a hard time with small buttons or modern devices. Because it functions in a similar manner to more traditional methods, It works well for her, as opposed to the old-fashioned phones she is used to. It's simple to press the correct buttons with arthritic fingers. The phone can accommodate people who have some hearing loss, but my MiL doesn't have that problem, so I can't comment on how well it works for them. I began by using an old AT. T princess phone for her, but the senior facility uses VOIP, so the old analog phone was inoperable. This one was easy to set up and use.

Great phone for my elderly mother, with large buttons and great sound quality even at high volume levels
5/5

I bought this phone for my mother because her old flip phone was driving her insane. This phone is simple to use and does not intimidate an elderly lady. It also has a volume control for adjusting the sound level. For my mother, it was an excellent deal.

Grandpa will be able to hear us once more
5/5

Easy set- speed dial, easy to use /or 1- programming for an emergency call; enables in-depth research adjustments to the volume of the call tone, which can be extremely beneficial to people who have nerve damage or are losing their hearing; Incoming calls are also signaled by a flashing LED ringer light. easy, soft touch buttons, and a comfortable handset In comparison to older phones with similar or fewer adaptive enhancements, the base itself is significantly lighter. It does what it's supposed to do. enables me to play at least one of my favorite 95-minute songs. year- An elderly veteran who previously had only shouted words on a regular phone is now able to hold full conversations. br>It's a cinch to install. In terms of setup, he programmed the speed dial on his own the first day he got the phone and then called to confirm that it worked, making it truly user friendly. Since then, it has performed admirably. It's a significant upgrade over any phone he's used in the last 25 years. I strongly advise anyone over the age of 50 or who has mild to moderate hearing loss to try this. If you're tired of repeating yourself or attempting to contact a lonely person, If you know someone who enjoys wearing their hearing aids on a regular basis, get them this phone. It's well worth the money!.

Tone control is a nice feature that most amplifier phones don't have
4/5

Tone control is a nice feature that most amplifier phones don't have. Even in low light, the large buttons are easy to use. However, when picking up the receiver, it takes a long time to make a connection. Before the microphone and speaker open, there must be a brief pause.

It's a big hit with my 89-year-old father
5/5

He thinks of you. It's a big hit with my 89-year-old father. He appreciates the fact that when the phone rings, a red flashing light indicates an incoming call. The ability to plan ahead of time It also works for him to program ten numbers and a list of who is assigned to which button. So far, there hasn't been anything negative to report. He was initially apprehensive about the new purchase, but now he is thoroughly enjoying it.

It didn't quite work out
3/5

This was purchased for my mother, who is deafeningly deafeningly deafeningly deafeningly Her hands are also quite arthritic. She keeps in touch with a small group of people on a regular basis. With an amplified handset, large buttons, and one-touch operation, this phone ticked all the boxes. a call to the button Unfortunately, two out of three isn't good enough. My sister has been unsuccessful in storing any numbers in the memory. She has been unable to contact customer service, and it is possible that it will be returned to her.

In about a week, the phone died
3/5

My mother was in desperate need of something like this. Until it stopped working, I was unable to dial out, receive calls, or use the buttons. I contacted tech support, and they requested that I return it and that a new one be sent. I chose to send it back to Amazon. Other people seem to have had success with it, but I'd advise staying away based on the problem I'm having and the poor tech support.
