The REN (Ringer Equivalence Number) is used in the United States to determine the number of devices that can be connected to your phone line. There should be a total of five RENs in total. All of the devices must ring and function properly if the number is 0 or less. The REN (Ringer Equivalence Number) of the ClearSounds CR200 is just 0. 1 is a very low number. Because the CR200 is powered by an electrical adapter rather than the telephone line, it consumes very little power.
The VOIP continues to send a signal to activate your phone's ringing; this is in line with that and will also receive the ring and flash signal. We're using VOIP on our home phone, and it's been great from the start.
It is possible to turn off the volume completely. When you turn on the volume, the control changes from a regular ring to a klaxon-like sound. loud.
This is a ring signaler that has been amplified. When the phone rings, the ring is amplified and accompanied by a flashing strobe. The CR200 does not allow you to hear what is being said.

He is in excellent health, but his hearing has deteriorated over time. Despite the fact that he refuses to admit it. He is a self-assured, self-sufficient individual. We call to check on him frequently, and there have been times when he is seated in his chair, oblivious to the fact that the phone is ringing, watching television (volume at maximum). We send someone over to make sure he's okay because we're worried, much to his chagrin. The issue was easily resolved thanks to this device. My husband joked that the amplifier had the ability to bring the dead back to life. It's fantastic! My uncle hasn't missed a single phone call, and he is ecstatic. I would strongly suggest it!.
This product has saved my life by allowing me to communicate with my deaf sister who is deaf in both ears at all times. br>Before I installed this product in her home, she couldn't hear the phone, respond to text messages, or FaceTime, and I was constantly afraid that something had happened to her, so I'd jump in the car and drive over to her house to see how she was doing. Fortunately, she doesn't live too far away, but getting dressed and going out in all kinds of weather to make sure she was okay was still a struggle. Her phone is now ringing, which she is alerted to by the flashing strobe light. It's fantastic, and I'm grateful for the existence of this product. Thank you so much, Clear Sounds CR 200, for putting my mind at ease.
I put it to the test with my 88-year-old mother, who has severe hearing loss and can't hear the loud doorbell or phone ringer even with hearing aids. She could hear the ClearSounds Amplified Phone Ringer from across the room, and the light was extremely bright, even on a bright sunny day with the lights turned on inside as well. I liked it so much that I ordered another one the same day I set up the first one for a phone down the hall. It has a variety of tones and volume settings, as well as the ability to vibrate with the optional (but now discontinued) SHK Vibrating Pad ($30 plus shipping), which I was fortunate enough to find online for the second unit to go under the mattress. I'm hoping that ClearSounds will release a new vibrating pad model, or that others, such as the Sonic Alert SS12VW, will be compatible.
I've had phone ringers that flashed strobe lights in the past. The bulb would burn out after a year or less, and because it was soldered into the unit, it couldn't be replaced. After a couple of years of having to buy another telephone signaler, I got smart and started looking for one that would last longer. My problem had been solved by the Clear Sound flashing ring signaler. It's simple to connect. It's solid, and unlike other signalers, it doesn't tip and fall over. It looks more like a flashing light to me than an LED strobe, but it serves my purpose. I've had mine for a while and haven't had any issues with it.
My 90-year-old grandfather has a hard time hearing (his smoke alarm was beeping for a battery change and he couldn't hear it). I called him several times and was concerned when he didn't answer. I set it up and it works perfectly. It's as loud as a shotgun, according to him. He had to turn it down because it was too loud! With simple displays, he should be able to turn it down on his own! Plugging in is a breeze. If you connect it to a phone jack and an outlet, it will function without a phone. The strobe light works properly. Within a few rings, he answers the phone! I placed it next to a phone on an end table. I couldn't figure out how to put it on the wall.
He couldn't hear his phone ring because he couldn't hear it. It arrived quickly and was simple to set up. It's a very loud ringer! That's fantastic news for us. He can now hear the phone ring from any room in his house. Only one phone must be connected to it. You can use a strobe light to draw attention to yourself. Anyone suffering from mild to severe hearing loss will benefit from this product.
With only the bright white LEDs flashing, this works great and really gets your attention. br>Excellent product with numerous features. Anyone who has trouble hearing the phone ring should give this a try. br>It's also very simple to set up and choose which ring options you want to use.
This is for my mother, who is 85 years old. She refuses to wear a hearing aid, but she can't hear the phone ring when I call to see how she's doing. I was looking at different models on Amazon, some of which were cheaper and some of which were more expensive, and this one seemed to fit her requirements. If I turn it up to high, the sound is very loud, but I don't want to startle my neighbors, so I've turned it down to medium. My mother knows the phone is ringing even if she doesn't hear the ringing sound because the flashing light is very bright and eye piercing. If you have a similar issue with your aging parents, I would recommend this.
