My mother received this as a gift- Alzheimer's disease in a relative. Since she could not use a cell phone, she gave up using it It is helpful to be familiar with one another. a few concerns with it, but it isn't because it's not a great product. The volume can be quite loud, both on the ringer & on the speakerphone A mobile phone. A flashing light is also present. Because it does not have an answering machine, it is easier to use.
