In the picture, the man wears it so close to his mount that it will overwhelm his own voice. You cannot so wear it, as your voice will interfere with the mount's. As it makes very bad sound from the fraction, I'm using it for business meetings and putting it on the table without moving it. In addition to the above precautions, I will suggest it to any of my friends.

I was able to have better one-to-one conversations with it (as most amplifiers are) without much background noise. However, after an average of once or twice a week for seven months, it stopped working. An on light turns on for less than a minute, then goes out. I have a longer battery life on my Pocketalkers.

This may be an unrealistic expectation, but hearing aid users should be able to choose from a wider variety of devices to help them.

Of all things, the product works especially well with Apple in ears! It is an ear saver, or life saver, as the case may be. It wasn't until he went to the ENT that my husband admitted he had a hearing problem. They can't do anything for him, unfortunately. During a conversation with a friend, he saw that an amplifier like this was MUCH more expensive. He went online and found one. These are the ones I found. It sounds great to him In a noisy restaurant where the people at our table can hear him, he still acts effectively. TV volume has now been lowered to a reasonable level.
