This is a little heavy for crutches. I do not mind the extra weight at all, but the shock absorbers are well worth it for me. By cutting off the left and right ends of the floor pads, I made a few modifications The right pads were left behind, but my front and rear pads were not There is also padding on the back. They grip (even on slick, wet floors) really well but, after I modified them, the size was just a little too small and they didn't have that (too BIG) look and feel anymore. I was unaware that they had flashlights when I bought them the first time. My first thought when I realized they were there was that they were dumb. They’re not stupid at all! I used them a lot and I was amazed at how bright they were! Having one big beam of light out in front of you from both crutches makes getting to and from the bathroom at night, going for walks at night, and even getting to and from the car at night easy. My favorite thing about this exhibit is the flashlights! There are two very good reasons for the horns. Everybody loves them and they make the same shrill beep sound as a Wal-Mart Putting cash in the register at a retail store. It is possible to beep the horn when the cashier scans your item and thinks it has been scanned when in fact it has not. BTW, this is a true story.
