The most serious "downfall," no pun intended, was having the crutches fall over. They were excellent in every other way.
The patterns appear to be designed to stay in place.

2020br>br> I am prone to accidents, and after rotator cuff surgery, I knew traditional crutches would be ineffective. They had always KILLED my armpits, even before rotator surgery, so I was a little worried about finding something that would work. br>br>TRY ONE: IN MOTION Pro crutchesbr>I bought these on Amazon after seeing them used by NFL players. My underarms hurt the moment I tried them on, and the hand grips were molded in such a way that they killed my hands. The following day, I returned them. AWFUL! AWFUL! AWFUL! TRY 2: FOR $119br>br>TRY 3: FOR $119br>br>TRY 4: FOR $119br>b SMART CRUTCH RACERbr>I contacted the company and spoke with a very pleasant employee who explained the differences. br>And boy, was he correct! THESE ARE AMAZING! Although they are costly, you will never require another pair of crutches! Because I received them AFTER my surgery, I had to use a walker for the first two days. You should practice with these because firing your firearms feels different, and I was heavily medicated. br>However, by day three, these had changed the game. My palms were hurting from the walker, so switching to the SMART CRUTCH forearm action was AMAZING! br>br>The only thing I'd change is to make the L and R buttons more visible. I bought some stickers to stick on them so I can tell which is which in the dark. br>br>I'm hoping they'll be able to work with hospitals and surgery centers to get in the door and lower production costs, because these should be able to replace all standard crutches! SMART CRUTCH, YOU DID A GREAT JOB!.
She is usually confined to a wheelchair, but a physical therapist is working with her to strengthen her legs and core muscles in order to alleviate some of her problems.
I knew that using crutches of any kind would be difficult because he was born without his right hand. As a result, I went online in search of crutches that might be useful. I couldn't find anything because almost all of them require you to hold the crutch in your hands in some way. br>In the end, I decided that a forearm crutch would be the "best" option for him. I came across this one while researching the various types of forearm crutches available. I chose this crutch because of its numerous adjustability features, knowing that I would be experimenting with the various adjustable angles to find the best position for him. br>br>Here are some of my comments: br>br>• The height can be adjusted, which was important because I knew I'd be making one shorter than the other. The pole adjusts easily with the push of a spring button. • The forearm can be adjusted as well, which was the most important feature I looked for. To adjust, loosen a knob on the side, pivot the section until the "right" angle is found, then tighten. I made the angle more "flat" for my son's right side so he could use more down weight and only carry his load with his forearm. • The grip adjusts to the length of one's arm by telescopeing in and out. I knew it wasn't a requirement for his right arm, but it was a nice touch for his left. br>br>• A built-in slot can be found on the right forearm, beneath the molded shelf. As you can see in my photos, I used a knee strap and slid it through the slot before wrapping it around the shell. This is fantastic! Because he can't get his grip on the crutch, he puts his arm through the strap, which secures his arm to the crutch. Because the slot is fairly wide, the strap occasionally slides down, but he easily moves it up and it stays in place (I made the strap tight). br>br>These crutches are working great for my son, and he loves them. If the manufacturer is reading this, I strongly advise adding wide Velcro straps (at least 2) to the forearms so that the user can secure their arm in place. For people who are missing one or both hands, this would make a huge difference.
They enable me to stand upright while using them. My old crutches were causing me pain under my arms. I have a very rare medical condition that causes me to lose my balance and make it difficult for me to lift my legs as they should be. These crutches assist me in every way I had hoped. On the forearms, they are extremely comfortable. This is a purchase that will not let you down.
These are a godsend for someone like me who has Fibromyalgia that primarily affects my lower body.
These were the only ones I found that were highly recommended for being lightweight, supportive for weak wrists and arms, all terrain, and generally awesome for anyone who struggles with eds and balance issues. when they arrived, I realized I ordered the wrong cuff size, and their rep was beyond amazing in sending me replacements right away, even answering questions and giving advice on how to customize them with my own art. these have been life changing as a mobility aide!.
These are a big hit with my daughter! Even with her arm in a cast, she manages to get around.
