Despite their size and weight, these crutches are very sturdy and reliable. The fact that they are so light is shocking to me, and I was concerned about how long they would last. I was not disappointed. And had a blast doing it! In order to use crutches on a daily basis, I ordered two pairs. My crutches break so frequently (I rely on them every day). My weight is 140 pounds, so they are able to hold me up It's nice that they have cuffs made of plastic so they won't stick to my skin (unlike the Drive Unlike most handles, this one does not flex It has a grippable texture so it's easy to grip. As yet, the crutch does not rattling after some months of being used, which happens with most crutches after a few months. Having said that, I'll add the caveat I don't put ALL of my weight on them. Nonetheless, my feet also bear a portion of the weight and these crutches are strong enough to hold me up. Taking a closer look at the Drive brand of bariatric crutches can accommodate more weight if you need something that is more durable.

Over the past six months, my daughter has used these every day. To make them a bit more comfortable for long-term use, we added a little padding to the cuffs. I am really pleased with how well the tips have held up.
