They arrived on time, a little thicker than I had anticipated, but they do the job. For the money, this is a good purchase. The only criticism is that the packaging should be more robust, as they were partially out of padded envelopes when they arrived.
These were recommended in a sewing tutorial for turning narrow strips of fabric right side out and pulling through elastic and drawstrings, so I bought them. These have a good grip and a strong hold. This size may be a little thick for very delicate or tight spaces, but they won't bend or break like the little sewing hooks I've used on longer strips and tougher fabrics. These are one of those tools that can sit in my sewing box for months or even years at a time, unused - However, when the job that requires them arises, there is nothing quite like them to get you through an otherwise exasperating, tedious, and time-consuming task.
It's a pair of low-cost hemostats with the word "Pakistan" stamped on them. They're also under $7, so don't expect a high-quality product; the polish is uneven, and there are minor discolorations that were most likely caused by the steel's heat treatment. However, I did not purchase these for surgery; rather, I purchased them for my toolbox. The jaws are 4" long with good serrations. As a result, they'll have a lot of grip and reach.
When you try to do it, they are terrible and don't grip or let go properly. Purchases should be avoided.
Although the length is impressive, the precision is lacking. It doesn't stay clamped without extra effort, which isn't supposed to happen.
I recommend better packaging, the kind that simply says, "Here I am, you knucklehead!" "It was supposed to be for my herpetologist friend who feeds mice to his snake, and this would have been ideal for the job. " If I ever come across it, that is!.
I'm interested in purchasing the item, but in a smaller size.
The price is incredible, but the finger openings are a little rough. The material has a soft grip.
