Selected User Reviews For Phonak CeruShield Disk Wax Guards for Marvel Hearing aids (2 Pack)
I'm not sure who decided that using a disc to design a device for the elderly was the best option. br>br>In my case, I'm a middle-aged woman with a HOH son who requires bilateral assistance, and I can barely twist the thing. Also, why do I have to remove the receiver from the mold in order to do this? I'm not sure if this is a Phonak or wax guard design flaw, but it's a pain to deal with. br>br>It's not that the company that distributes the device is doing anything wrong - It arrived on time, but I really hope the casing and application method are redesigned soon. I don't think I'll be able to use these for another three years. 5 years.
My audiologist had to show me how to use it, and she had issues as well. She claimed that other patients were having problems as well, and I watched the video on YouTube, and it appears that it is very simple to use. In reality, it's a huge challenge.
It's probably the most difficult thing I've ever had to operate, despite the fact that it's such a simple product. When I need to change my wax plug, I have to block out the next hour of my schedule. Yes, rotating the thing to the next position takes that long. To get a hold of the counter twisting, there are no grooves to grab. Every time I twist the dispenser to the next position, I end up tearing up my fingernails.
These wax guards are the most ineffective design imaginable. They usually go in fine, but the removal side doesn't grip the guard well enough, so I have to dig it out with tweezers. I'm thinking about switching hearing aids because these are so bad, and Phonak is doing nothing about it.
These disks are very difficult for me to turn because I am elderly.
I'm not sure about the negative reviews that claim the device is difficult to use; I had no problems, and my father, who is 90 years old, uses the same ones and has no trouble manipulating the disk. It's difficult to keep track of how many I've used and how many are still on the disk. When I change the filters, I write it down on a calendar, and when I reach 4, I throw out the old one, grab the new one, and place another order. It's that simple.
For my hearing aids, I was out of them. br>I'm overjoyed that they arrived so quickly. Good to hear from you once more!.
These are compatible with my aids, but the design isn't to my liking. My old hearing aids had a filter that I had to replace one by one before discarding the stick. The rotational pattern is very perplexing to me. It's impossible to tell how many are in it. I'll buy them again because I need them, but I don't like how they're set up. Neither the instructions nor the examples are very helpful.
