Compared to an open or closed dome, what is the difference between these?

In the case of a vented dome, half the opening should be exposed It is a medium between an open dome, which allows sound into the ear canal to a limited extent, and a closed dome, which allows little to no sound to enter the ear You will hear an awful lot of noise if you cover your ears and eat chips. In an open dome there are several vents, which almost eliminates the loud noise, but in a closed dome there are no vents, so the noise is accentuated.

Because it only says Medium in the listing, I wasn't sure what size these were. As I recall, I had been using the Large size, but they felt too large to me. They fit perfectly in my ears! I had given them a try and they are perfect! I decided to post a couple pictures showing both large and medium together so others could get a more accurate sense of the differences.
