I have a patient who is in love with In my role as an occupational therapist, I often have my patients try my own adaptive equipment so we can find out what works for them before they order their own. This cuff is absolutely loved by my patient with cerebral palsy. Until we found silverware with a narrow handle, the cuff wouldn't fit in the slot, but now with the right utensils it works perfectly.
This is such a good idea, but its design is horrible. Despite the plastic grip, the velco strap proves to be a real disappointment. I do not know how long it is. The velcro measures 10 inches, 90% of which is fuzzy. strap is a plastic part of the velcro because the strap is so long, it is better fitted to a giant's hand. My husband's hand is quite large--there is not much room to put the strap over his head. Wearing a large glove, he stands out from the crowd. In spite of having the Velcro in the tightest position, he still managed to get the holder off. The thought process they were going through. Most silverware can be accommodated in the utensil sleeve, according to the supplier. This is incorrect. Due to the narrowness of the sleeve, none of my normal sized silverware would fit. It wasn't until I found a spoon with a ridiculously thin handle at a flea market that fit in the sleeve that I found what I was looking for. Still, the threads on the top of the sleeve started to come undone when the sleeve separated. If they had included utensils that fit, this would have been so easy, but then this manufacturer would learn to value quality. It's too bad because this tool could be a true blessing for the handicapped if it came with a quality design.
It is very durable and strong A simple design that makes it easy to use. A stroke has recently taken place in my life. We had to learn every little thing all over again. It is easy Pencils are made using this material- I (write) & I While shaving my legs, I found the following I highly recommend this product (it has a razor in it) We'd like to buy again.
This device has so much potential, but it is so small that silverware will not fit in the pocket. Straps snuggly to my hand, and fits so well to my hand that I have no problem using.
While advertised as "Adult", the item shipped is at best "pediatric. " It barely fits over the hand, and it cannot be fastened or used. I will be returning as soon as possible.
It's such a small piece of Velcro that it won't line up with the other side enough to keep the device attached to most adult hands, I believe. It is recommended that you avoid If you don't have money to buy the Quad Care Utensil Holder, you can buy it elsewhere online. You'll be much happier if you do, I guarantee it.
I can't use it now because it is no longer in use.
It ended up being not worth the cost as we were unable to use.
