Questions & Answers

This table's edge has a lip. Do you have any idea what it is?

There were three different price variations of this table, the lower two varying from $60 to $40 The less expensive versions don't have a lip, and people seem to be having problems with them, whereas the more expensive versions do, and they are a lot better.

The maximum weight the table can hold is how many pounds?

This table is designed to hold 40 pounds, according to its manufacturer, Drive Medical. Simple to do. Due to the fact that I recently picked up a slightly used version of the same model, I can confirm that it holds that much and more. Here's your guide to finding the best overbed table for your budget
4/5

It was for my aging mother that I purchased another brand of this type of table last October. I would have had to pay about $25 Seeing how versatile and well built it was, I decided to get one for myself, so I can use it with my tablets and laptops while lying Below is the budget brand I ordered as a The positives are It took 10 minutes to put together, with instructions that have been revised. The assembly instructions have been rewritten from old reviews. The maximum time for a presentation is 15 minutes. The frame appears to be well built and stable enough to hold up over the long term Over a long period of time, you will gain 25 pounds. In terms of size, 15x30 is generous for most items such as laptops, tablets, food trays, etc. In terms of negatives
The tabletop has no lip, and there is no protective bumper at the edge. Despite being protected with a topcoat, veneer on tabletops does not look sufficiently sealed. Liquids may cause the pressed wood to expand and puff up from the seams if they are spilled on them. There is an annoying rattling sound made by the rod within the column when the cart is being rolled.

I give it 4 stars since it's still an amazing value for my needs, but there are models for $20 - $30 available too that are better built, with a dual locking height latch, a bumper at the edge protecting the tabletop and a thicker tabletop and a stronger.

The exact thing I wanted - thank you The table I use to hold my laptop is sturdy and mobile
5/5

My son and I got this table so we will be able to play World of Warcraft and browse the Internet on my laptop while lying on our lounger in the game room. The lap desk that I had previously used was too narrow, so I wanted a free-standing desk I am no longer reliant on my lap when I use a standing table. It's quite spacious for a laptop table, plus there's room for my mouse and other peripherals. I looked at some smaller laptop tables, but wanted enough room for my mouse and other peripherals. In general, it went smoothly, but there are a few things I thought would be helpful to note. The tabletop was wrapped in plastic to protect it, while the package was well packaged. In order to order the hardware, each piece was packaged neatly and numbered. To keep the box safe, two straps were wrapped around it, but it showed that people had lifted it by those straps, so they had made minimal cuts to the box. There did not appear to be any damage caused by that. As far as packaging goes, I'm only unhappy with the mounting bracket being embedded through the plastic, so I had to loosen the 8 screws to remove it perfectly cleanly. Assembling & Testing The instructions are as follows. I put this together myself in 30 minutes or so. While getting tools or petting dogs, some of that time was spent playing with It says you need a large Phillips head screwdriver as well as a 10mm wrench and 16mm wrench, but I did not have either of these in my wrench set, so I used a 5/8" wrench Written in a very clear and straightforward manner, I thought the instructions were well written. The instructions are included in photos so you can make up your own mind. Only step 5 of the assembly posed a challenge for me There was a problem with alignment of the holes. My fix was to loosen the nut in step 4, adjust the bracket, and all the pieces You may want to wait until you have ensured that the holes are centered before completely tightening the nut in step 4. The lifting mechanism is a bit of a concern, since I read reviews and I was worried my laptop would be thrown across the room if I scraped the table. I am glad to report that this is not the case. Although the table bottom moves up and down only a little bit in small increments, I can bump it pretty hard. Open your hands and rest your palms on the bottom of the table (like when waiters hold serving trays) so you can pull Considering the lift rod keeps it from flying up, it's not the smoothest action, but it's not terrible either. It took me less than a minute to push up and set my drink on it. It is easy to operate the lowering lever (especially when it is The ease of using this lever is a great convenience for me, since I am starting to get arthritis in my hands and have some problems with my grip. There are a lot of smooth and simple features involved with lowering. The table feels sufficiently sturdy, and regardless of a weight limit, I won't be using much more than my laptop and mouse on it. I don't expect to put much weight on it, but pressing down on it, it feels sturdy enough. In terms of quality, I would say it is excellent. I put it together in no time, and it feels very sturdy. I have noticed some small chips around the edges where the table top was cut, so I imagine other people are going to wear it down as well by resting their arms on it. We used EZ FAUX DECOR for our kitchen. If it gets too bad, I'll use PVC countertop wrap (like the one we used). There is nothing really special about these wheels, but they do the job just fine. Tabletop measures 15 x 30 inches in size. With room to spare, I can comfortably fit my laptop and mouse. In general, this is the exact table I was looking for. The table was easy to assemble, it's very easy to use, and it's a strong piece of furniture. I am very pleased with this table and recommend it to anyone looking for a reasonably priced, decently made table The size of the roll It is easy to fit around the furniture using this round table. It was my pleasure to assist you.

It is difficult to adjust, and it does not work as described
3/5

The company's nbsp In my view, it would only take a fairly light touch to lower/raise the table. However, this is not at all the amount of pressure I have found it takes to do so. Developed severe resistance to scraping and was extremely difficult to scrape With every motion, metal noises can be heard. To no avail, we checked every screw and connection to see if we could loosen something up and make it move more easily. It would definitely be beneficial to anyone with an issue that compromises arm or hand strength (e. g. Those with joint pain, older people, etc) make notice that you will likely have trouble using this product according to the instructions. There is a possibility that it is simply my table (got one with ill-fitting pieces), but I wouldn't bet on that. You can watch a video of the above in action.

A total and complete waste of time
3/5

That is the worst tray I have ever seen. So far, I have used the edger for one week, and the trim around the edge is falling off. There is a lock that lowers and raises the table but it almost always does not work. The stuff you send goes up even without you touching it, sending it all over the place. It's a joke to try to lower it. The only way to succeed is to put all your effort into it. After contacting the company, they didn't get back to me. MY MONEY IS STUCK WITH THIS PIECE OF CRAP AND NOW I AM SOL!.
