What lies under the bed is not necessarily as important as what is on the sides of the bed. There is a plastic "T" at the end of the security straps. Cross from side with the safety gate underneath the mattress to the other side where the "T" is situated between the mattress and box spring. While I did use it briefly on a bed with no box spring and slats under it, I did not use it on anything else. Firstly, we positioned the "T" with one side on the mattress and then we just made sure that it was over one of the slats so that it would not Although it worked, it would not be recommended since the straps would occasionally slip due to a lack of a mattress, board, etc. on the other side of the "T". There are a variety of kinds of beds, and depending on which side of the bed they want to position the "T" on, that is all subject to change.
The straps are not long enough to reach the top In order to utilize this, it should be mounted to
As far as the one with the side walls around it goes, it's not ideal since it really was designed for a bed without edges around the mattress, so it's probably not right. This strap goes underneath the mattress and has a "T" hook that sits between the top mattress and the boxspring on the bottom, holding the rail tight. Depending on how wide the wall is between the side wall and the mattress, the gate may or may not fit. Without trying it on the bed, I would not know whether it will work without the strap. However, the edge around may hold it in place without it falling off. Changing the sheets after being in that bed for a long time can be pretty hard if you manage to get the mattress to fit. As the mattress has to be pulled up a bit to change them, the "T" strap falls. Once the "T" strap is lost, the mattress has to be slid in place as the strap is held between the wall and the mattress.

In the end, it is too long for that purpose, since it is basically the full length of the crib, which leaves no room for the child to climb out. Due to the fact that this is not the purpose of this item, it will not be deducted any starts. In case anyone else wanted to use it for that purpose, I just wanted to mention it. I would say it's chief disadvantage is that it doesn't fold down easily, as the latches are awkward to open and easy to grasp. When it's folded, it stays barely below horizontal level and sticks out much, so it prohibits you from getting The ideal position for this would be for it to hang down completely, so that it would not be in anyone's way. This product is designed in such a way that just as easily I could have pulled up a couple of chairs facing the bed and had just as much functionality.
I don't think this bed rail is well designed. However, the assembly of this product is horrendous despite the good quality of the materials. The directions, as others have mentioned, are not very clear, so you do have to guess quite Additionally, while I followed the directions, I could not get the steps to work with my product. It looked like I had a different frame altogether, so I needed to flip the screen the other way around. It was the legs that caused the most problems. There is a peg hole on the wrong side of the leg, so I would have to put the legs in the opposite direction. As soon as I unlocked one leg, I tried flipping it over to face correctly, but the lock sat funny under the mattress and I couldn't get it to sit right. You can expect it to be returned. I'm quite disappointed with the solution, as all I wanted was a simple, quick solution to keep my kid in bed. I would like to offer a bit of advice to summer brands. Keeping it simple will help I don't see the point in complicating something that ought to be simple.
My mistake was to overlook the fact that you need a box spring or that the top of the rail needs to be flush with the bottom of your mattress. Nonetheless, this is not a useful product for me, because my mattress sits lower than the bed rail, and the straps are too short for that. Additionally, I thought assembly was a pain because of the little pins that are used to slide the pieces over. That, along with stretching out the cover all the way across, made the entire process a huge pain. I was obviously very frustrated to find out that, after all that, I couldn't even do anything with this stupid device. It also turned out the assembly was a bit off, since for the life of me, I wasn't able to get this So, I think that was a waste of money because I cannot disassemble the item to return it.
It is simple to install and assemble. There is some wiggle when it is on, but it has worked well for us for the last two months.
The only thing I need to do is tighten it from time to time, but it feels absolutely solid. The layout looks a bit bland, don't you think? Would it be important to you if you knew that? However, my kid is a taxman while he sleeps, so I need a rail that will be reliable and easy to install, and this is the perfect rail for that purpose.
I expected it to be much smaller than it was. There was a large gap where the crib/toddler bed size mattress was blocked. Those who are in favor of this may find it helpful. As a result, it was very difficult for my toddler to get in and out of the car. Open the pins to let the gate down was a very difficult task for me. In addition, I do not understand the reason for why the gate needs to be closed. Due to the way it moves, a toddler cannot slide down it to exit. Not only was it difficult to install, but it also did not stay in place very.
While the product stays in position if the plastic pieces stick out the opposite side of the mattress and the belts are tight, the rest is useless. Maybe you have a question now. How do the sheets look when you change them? You have to work VERY hard to put the plastic pieces back in Particularly when the bedrail is only in use on one side and against the wall (which I assume it will be in 99% of cases where the rail is only in use A child who does not have the plastic parts in place can easily push the bedrail off during their sleep, and possibly even break it- It's easy to get caught up in. It is basically a dangerous product with flaws.
The installation took only a few minutes. Those instructions could have been more clear and detailed, but I found out how to do it. I have a toddler who climbs on it from outside the bed, and it holds up well. It is a bit tricky to fold it down to change the sheets, but the reviews were a bit overblown about how difficult it is to do. However, I am still happy I bought it, even though it could use improvement. The two-year-old has not fallen out of bed yet, and we have been using it for about a month and a half now.
