I strongly recommend this product if you would like to keep an eye on a loved one who is sleeping at night. Add a baby monitor for extra alert as well! Since it can be moved easily from bed to chair, I hope that it will serve you well as it did for us.
I installed it a couple of months ago, and it set off the alarm when my wife tried to get up. As a result, she doesn't try that anymore now, when she wants to get up, she presses her caregiver call button. In my opinion, the only thing that would make the product better would be a "disable" button, so that you can remove the patient instead of having to hit the "reset" button repeatedly.
As far as I can tell, things are going well. It is with sadness that I report the passing of my mother, 88, When law is in her chair, she can be unpredictable. Thus, this alarm has helped us to keep an eye out when she starts to get up out of the computer.

This worked for about a week and then it started to make small frequent alarm sounds for no apparent When no one was sitting on the alarm, it would sound several times during the night waking the family up even while they were sound asleep. However, the battery was still working, so it had to be replaced even though it was in good condition. I was always woken up by an alarm that went off without warning. Taking care of my 99-year-old mother has been the hardest thing I have ever had to do and it hasn't gone as well as I wish.
The alarms that I have are both of this type. It is on my mom's bed and the other one is on her chair that she uses most of the time. When the alarm goes off, I can hear it even from across the room. As a result, I am able to provide better care for my mother. I like that it lasts a good amount of time. In addition, if my mom is just leaning over in her chair, the alarm will go off, and that's what I need since she shouldn't be doing that. It should be noted that I have had both of them for two years with no issues.
