My local HD/Lowes did not have it in stock since it is a bit smaller than a standard 3/8
If I had to guess, I would say that you should make sure the water supply runs to
This item can be found on the Amazon website. It worked out great and was much cheaper than so many others.
Plastic is used to make the receiver plate, but it is All metal and brass is used in the vacuum. It has never presented me with any problems. It has been about five months since I installed myself. You shouldn't miss out.

Bubble wrap and padding were used to package the item well. In addition to the retaining screw and the securing bracket, the securing bracket is stainless steel. There is one improvement that would be desirable, which is an opening on the hose receiver that catches the shampoo hose when pulling out through the notch when it is attached to the receiver plate. Thankfully, the receiver plate is plastic (which is apparently industry standard). It would be great if there were a replaceable insert to protect the hose, so they would last a lot longer. This is probably the best option if you have a crack in your receiver plate when you are using a shampoo bowl, as I went through 4 receiver plates before I found this one The plates were sized 1/8" off with others when used with an older vacuum breaker since they were trying to work with the opposite. There is enough adjustment room in this plate that it could be adjusted that much and still function. As you can see from the picture, I modified the mounting slightly by cutting a 2-inch piece of wood To make the retaining nuts more accessible and easy to work with, we used short sections of copper pipe measuring 5/8" in diameter. When I run into this issue again (I am a professional plumber with a lot of friends who work in the beauty industry) I will certainly buy this product again since it makes the repair seamless and provides the best option to take care of this issue. I thought the shipping took close to a week. If it were a prime item, I would have insisted it be expedited, yet I had no problem with If I had needed it immediately, this would have been a problem.
Regarding longevity, I am not able to comment. The current solution is sufficient. Was not aware a vacuum breaker was required in these things when I bought washbowls. It's not even written anywhere that it is required, but the inspector was not going to allow the inspection to proceed. The sink portion had to have a second hole drilled through it so all of it would In the end, it worked out well. According to what I hear, you don't get random leaks when you connect it.
I bought the first one and it's been simple to install. The first one isn't lasting more than a month, so I bought another. From the photo, you can see the top of the car has been removed. My broken model has been replaced with the same brand, but I'm disappointed that I can no longer return it.
Plastic is used for the plate, and it's very thin. Since the holes aren't drilled it's really kind of like a kit for a kit instead of a product. YOU drill the holes, YOU adjust the smaller than standard pipes, etc. The price is great, but since it will be replaced next year, it is.
I suggest you DO NOT purchase this product! This is a very cheaply made product that should not be purchased. plumber found that the gasket did not fit the base of the breaker, so he had to improvise. Once installed and tested, a steady stream was leaking from the vacuum to the flower. It is a total waste of money and energy!.
The water spewed out of the top as soon as I turned on the tap. Each of them had the same experience. My only choice would have been to return them, but I needed to get the sinks working, so I just piratized the parts for them.
I had difficulties centering and tightening the install bracket, but the vacuum breaker works well on its own. I had to spend some time trying to get it set up so as not to.
There is no problem with the vacuum breaker. You should not overtighten the screws when installing them.
