The process worked better than I expected, but a more detailed set of instructions would have been helpful. To inflate the mattress, my husband used an electric pump. However, it took us some time to figure out that mattresses come with a special nozzle. Our pump did not work because it was fitted with the wrong nozzle. Changing the nozzle worked well, but you do need a pump to make sure that takes care of the liquid. I have no doubt that the basin has done its job. I washed my mother's hair while she fell asleep midway because she was so comfortable. A shower curtain was laid under the basin just in case, but there was no leak. Two times lathering and then using conditioner required quite a bit of water, which led me to make three trips back and forth to the bathroom each time to refill my fresh water supplies and empty the bucket of old If there had been a streamlined washing method that used less water or a way to hold more water near the bed, it would have worked better. In the midst of the chaos of the basin, I poured water over my mother's haid from a plastic pitcher, but there wasn't enough room to maneuver a container that large. If you have something to hang the bag from, you might want to invest in one of those bags that hold water and release it through a hose. As it is easier to maneuver the nozzle of the hose than clumsily angle a pitcher, I would suggest doing so.

Taking the full wash bin full of water from the tub to another location is the only thing I don't like. Be careful not to spill water on the floor because the bottom does not have a firm lining.
