Questions & Answers

Would it be possible to use a wheel chaire with these basins?

With a wheel chair, I found it impossible to use this basin. I wash my family member with a basin while he or she sleeps, and it is really Only one problem is a bent hose that restricts the flow of water. That is a small problem, but it exists nonetheless.

the drain/tubing only on one side? My mom sleeps on the right side of her king bed & the tubing on the left is not long enough for the left side of the bed. ?

As the drain tubing only runs on one side, I cannot tell you about its length, as I do not have it anymore. Using it to fill a small trash can, we ran it down the side of my mother's hospital bed.

There's something wrong with the way the basin is inflated. Where else should I poke the hole or what else would I need to do?

If you want to pump air out of an inflatable boat, you should use an air mattress I have no problems with this device after it has been fully inflated. You do not need to poke any holes. In order for the valve to be open, it must have enough pressure.

In what way does the air travel into the tiny plastic clear rubber piece attached to the Although I tried, I believe I need a pump. Could you please confirm I am looking in the right spot?

In the beautiful clear plastic piece where air belongs, there is a small hole that is too tight for air to go through The tight hole was expanded by using a writing pen cap (not the ballpoint of the pen) and blowing air into it (with my mouth). Using a pump after the hole has been opened up more is an option.

A dream come true for role reversal In late 2014, I learned that my best friend (and hairdresser) was dying of cancer
5/5

Among her many caregivers, I became one of them. In keeping her personal needs in mind, I decided to help her. I found this on the internet. The nurse washed her hair with this and a 5 gallon bucket to take to the hospital. Your client can choose how much air you blow into the inflatable, up to their comfort level. I found it easy to use and it worked as expected. She lay flat in bed, so I was able to wash her hair while she was warm. I didn't get any on the floor or on her, and I didn't get any on her Using a towel rolled up as a neck rest, I kept my face protected from leaks or splashes. It was a real treat for the nurses who came to see it. This was used to care for her at her home until the day of For the rest of her life, she was so glad to be capable of being "put together" and enjoying visitors. Can't tell you how helpful this is to people who are bedridden and those who care for them.

It was a pleasure to shampoo my patient! In this basin, there is no fragility but rather a lot of strength
5/5

A drain hose, a patch and an instruction sheet came folded in with it Glue should be kept on hand just in case of punctures. When blowing up the basin, I noticed that the air hole was too small so I poked the end of plastic eyeglass handle into the hole (being careful not to puncture) to make it bigger because not enough air was getting in, and voila, it blew up! Having this basin on hand proved to be just the right solution for my bed-bound I placed a towel around her lower neck while she lay in bed before I began to shampoo her The following instructions apply to four quarts of water The price includes a double wash and a dryer My first attempt at double rinsing (with a detangling shampoo/conditioner) went much better than I anticipated. I am glad I purchased this one because it was really simple.

There are great shampoos that can be used by bedridden people
5/5

If your loved one does not have access to a standard shampoo, this is the product they need to have. The powder products that are available are just horrible, and everyone has a right to clean their hair. In my opinion, it takes effort to achieve a good bed shampoo, but with this inexpensive device, we can easily accomplish it. With the inflatable basin, you'll have a lot of fun and it's very Whenever there is any drip from the neck, I place a folded finger tip towel there. Here is an inflatable head resturant cushion next to it. It prevents neck strain and makes sure the patient feels comfortable and at ease. There is a plastic tube, which allows the basin to drain into your bucket below, but it's not shown. It is not safe to carry the filled basin when it is full of There will be too much water for the seams because water is heavy. The drain is a good option. Our team has found this method to be the most convenient (2) Place the neck towel under the inflated device. (3) Lay a towel underneath the underlying plastic. Using the safest method available to you, lift or roll the patient in place and center the neck over the towel. (3) Make sure that you have a quart of plastic bottles to hold warm water and use one for the rinse water and one for the shampoo. Five (5) Shampoo the tubing well, pull out the drain plug, wash and let the water drain out. After you have rinsed with the creme, repeat the process. To achieve an excellent result that will leave your patient feeling very good, fill quart bottles with water and use plenty of it.

The presentation is excellent, though it could be even This product has been a key component of my life as a quadriplegic living in a hospital environment for many years
5/5

Those who are bedridden will find it to be the best solution. Nevertheless, higher quality materials would enable this product to be produced much better. The seam between parts of the basin of one of these had burst open while washing as the basin's seam could not be sealed after a long soak. It would also be good if the drainage tube was made from a higher gauge of rubber or plastic, eliminating kinks so that better drainage can be achieved. A few improvements to the product are needed, but in general it is an excellent option for washing.

Oh my gosh, that's the cutest blow up helper ever
5/5

Oh my gosh, that's the cutest blow up helper ever. It is very difficult for my mom to get out of bed. It was convenient so that I could put her in a chair, wash her hair in a portable shampoo bowl and put her in her wheelchair - This is horrible. It's time to put away the large shampoo bowls, because this blow up one is AMAZING! In my bathroom, I put the drain line in using a 5 gallon bucket. I also put a large towel or pad under the shampoo bowl to keep her sheets dry. It's as easy as pie! It is always a good idea to keep your hair clean!.

Definitely worth a try (if you have strong lungs
4/5

It is made from a very soft material (it feels like supersoft silicone, but I'm not sure what type of material it is), and is incredibly soft against the hair. A tubular inflatable outer wall and a pillow made of another inflatable part make up the outer wall. I'd love to give this five stars, but the cutout for the neck to rest in the brim is a little narrow and it's difficult to inflate, but aside from that, I think this is exactly what I needed! I don't know about the inflation part. In spite of my health and ability to blow, I had to blow so hard to inflate this thing. I tried several times over several "blowing sessions," and it made me gag several times! The nebulizer machine that I used to inflate it saved my life. I honestly do not think I would have survived without What a lousy thing to happen, because it would make a great basin for washing Mom's hair in. This floating toy has the same kind of inflation port as a child's floating toy for a swimming pool (see photo). I don't know why it's so hard to inflate. It is probably about time for me to get my yearly As a result, if you possess good, strong lungs or a nebulizer air pump, I have no hesitation recommending this EZ Access Inflatable Shampoo Basin for the Disabled. This allows people who are disabled, elderly, in pain, or in the process of recovering from an injury, to have a nice spa shampoo experience. There are three.
