Using the product, I removed the sharp edge causing the pain and was able to use this product for years. It does burn for the first couple of times, then the nail bends and cuts easily for the next few applications. However, if the affected area is infected or bleeding badly, this product will not work. Use for 7 days, but I used less than 3 days and I was able to get mine out without much difficulty. The product is very good, I recommend it highly.

I love this stuff, because it's great and does what it says, but my God, A lunch box full of rotten eggs for 6 days smells like rotten eggs. Your house will no longer be a desirable destination for visitors. I will not be able to do so until your toe heals. I am happy to say that The only reason I only gave it four stars is that it has a bad smell and is hard to ignore.

My back pain was so bad that I could not sleep before I got it. There is an excessive amount of time that people spend with their foot next to their nose when complaining about the smell.

After my surgical removal, my ingrown toenail came back, and it grew back so painfully that I could no longer touch it, let alone attempt to remove it. I was too lazy to go to the podiatrist, so I dubious chanced the procedure. Initially I applied it twice a day for a while, but stopped using the bandage and disk it came with after a few days. I covered it with a bandaid once a day for a few days and picked it up again a few days later. It's much easier this way. It was a real surprise to find that I was able to pry out the nail with no pain whatsoever tonight. The weird bandages do not detract from my rating of 5.

Having started heavy cardio work on the treadmill and elliptical repeatedly, I have been suffering from a bad ingrown toenail on my left big toe for the past 6+ months. My foot hurt so much I didn't think I could put on my shoes. In a last ditch effort, I bought this before I had to go to the doctor, The treatment did not work right away, I had to use it for 7 days before my ingrown nail could be addressed. Until the 6th day, it did not relieve my pain enough for me to dig in and get my toenail cut out. I gave it only 4 stars because it did not really relieve my pain until then. In essence, it softened the skin and nails enough to where I didn't have to cut a lot of them, I just had to scrape the skin out of the way and clip the softened nails. It is reported that other reviewers had troubles with the foam pad/band-aids not sticking or staying put, but I did not have any issues. This pad, along with the specially shaped band-aid that fits over it, is actually pretty handy and I had no trouble with it moving or coming off even during workouts. I cleaned up my nail about three weeks ago and have not felt any pain or issues since.

Several days later, the nail had softened enough for me to be able to cut some of it away without too much hassle. This is not a cure for the disease, In some sense, I can be sure I'll have to repeat it. I haven't used it for about 2 1/2 months now and I am not sure if it is still working For now, I am fine with it. The money I have left will be used to buy more nails as funds allow The book is definitely recommended. Moreover, there is an unpleasant smell as others have mentioned, but it is not too.

This product didn't help as much as I had hoped, in fact it Took my foot apart and soaked it in water for 10 minutes Apply) as directed without setting the needle. I began to feel pain in my whole toe about 20 minutes later. In no time I had rid my foot of the pain by washing off the gel and soaking it again. After that, I tried using just a little bit of it right on the spot the next day, but it didn't work. Could be that this medication is too strong for me. Other observers are also correct in their assessment of the smell As long as you don't take off the bandage to wash it off, it doesn't smell all that strong, but when I took off the bandage to clean it off it nearly It seems like the body heat boosts it up a lot. The stench in my bathroom and adjacent bedroom lasted for about half an hour. Using my overhead fan helped to break up the stale air, but OMG people, can't they do something about the stink of rotten eggs? Especially if you're in pain, this may help. There are some reports that it has helped but try a little bit first. If you want to fill the whole slot, you might want to use a sink first.
