In my review, I offer extensive experience in data analysis for hand held breathalyzers as a former law enforcement officer. We're not satisfied with the performance of the unit. Even if all included instructions were followed and people waited at least 45 minutes before testing after consuming alcohol, the number delivered for all tests was always 0000* Multiple people who were clearly intoxicated still got zero results. No reading was recorded other than zero for this unit.
Despite its claims, I don't believe this unit to be accurate. In my car, there is a calibration unit that I need to blow into to start it. In the past, I've used this BACtrack before starting my car, and it registered a lower level of alcohol than expected. There are 45 fewer points on my license than what the unit in my vehicle registered me with! There have been multiple instances of this. Unfortunately, I will have to return this product. I am surprised because this product was fairly expensive, and it had excellent reviews prior to my purchase. The saddest of all.

As a foreign citizen living in a foreign country, I am at risk of deportation if I am busted more than once while carrying this tool. It occurred to me that I was at a high BAC after consuming a few beers. I find it to be quite reliable. It is very easy for me to use this tool and I can easily check my BAC.
This product was for a birthday. Delivered on October 26, it was published in November. The accuracy of the device was not even close over the course of two weeks. This was a gift my son brought home from college over Thanksgiving. He wanted it returned to him. As of November 25th, the window for returns was closed. Everything is pre-installed so you can start using it right away. In the box there was an instruction manual, but it's so simple that it doesn't need to be read. The button on the device will display a countdown, and the screen will reveal the countdown timer. When ready, blow into the device using the included mouth piece for 5 seconds, hear the beep when its done, and the results will appear within 5-10 The results of the test were spot on when I compared them to the CA DMV drink chart for those without alcohol, and for those who had one to three drinks. The tool is accurate and clearly worth the price. I am very happy with it.
