Having been out for a few drinks recently, I have used this product a dozen or so times already. In fact, I'll probably do it more in order to have my friends try it. The older, larger one was not accurate enough for me, so I upgraded to this new one. Another thing I like is that it is small, so I can take it with me wherever I go. When my husband goes golfing, he also takes it along with him. His basic driver's license, which he keeps in his pocket or golf bag, provides him with proof that he is legally allowed to drive after a few drinks with friends. One of the biggest upgrades from the last one is that it shows you the reading instantly on the side of the device and it takes much less time to read it. In the past, I would have to use my phone's app to see the results, but now the breathalyzer presents them on-screen. It is a fantastic device and I strongly recommend it to anyone who drinks.

In fact, I wanted a second unit because my C6 was such a fantastic machine. I love both of them very much, but there is only one significant difference between them -- this one has a bigger screen, and it shows you your estimated time to sobriety right on the unit itself, rather than having to pull out the companion app (which also It's not that important whether or not I'm paying more for the size and price differences. Additionally, it's not as quick to use on it as the C8 In order to turn it off on its own, you will have to manually turn it off after the test, otherwise it will tell you stuff for 40 seconds before turning off automatically. The C6 is cheaper, so it's not a big deal, but since it is so much cheaper, I'm inclined to choose it. All in all, the C8 is a great option if you'd like to get that estimate. Despite the fact that the C6 gave an exact match to my unit on the exact same breath, I still rated the accuracy only 4 stars, due to the fact that my unit seems to read a bit higher than the C6 under the exact same circumstances. There's no way to tell if it's the unit itself, or if my C6 needs to be calibrated. However, measuring high is the better kind of inaccuracy to have in this case, so that's a plus.

Since I have purchased several BACtrack devices, I have learned that the devices offer excellent value. I bought the first one for my girlfriend as a gift. It is not our practice to drink and drive, and we want to make sure that will always be the case. Likewise, craft beers are a big part of our lives. After I learned that the company made great products, I can't express enough how much I believe this to be true after I got my own. My replacement battery cover is still en route to me and is being shipped however, her's is no longer working and the dealer lost it during an oil change (key They gave me tracking information for the free replacement when I requested a replacement when I contacted them - instead of asking for my address, they just asked for my address. IT'S NOT SO EASY TO FIND THIS KIND OF SUPPORT THESE DAYS -- It's great to work with them. It was delivered to me a few days ago and I've been using it to compare the readings to double check and they have been the same every time. Knowing that I'm not driving when I shouldn't when I carry this on me gives me a lot of peace of mind. I have to say that this is one of my favorite Amazon purchases to date.
