There is a good amount of accuracy here. The shoes I purchased were for a vacation when I knew I would be drinking. In spite of drinking several drinks earlier in the day, my milk still tested positive the next morning. It is difficult to read the results because of their color coding. While breastfeeding and pumping, I bought this product so that I could enjoy a cold beverage or two without feeling ashamed. When results kept coming back negative for several days, I forgot to take a stick out of his mouth and dipped it into plain vodka to see if it would work. I had previously bought them (during my last pregnancy) so I bought them again for keeping on hand. As a result, the strips didn't change at all, but I had expected at least some level detection based on my last beverage test. As soon as I had drinks the next day (when I knew it would react), I repeated the test and it showed no difference. A couple of the strips in the box worked for me.
