Currently, I'm dealing with an Achilles tendon that slides over a bone spur. This breaks the tendon, but the tendon wants to move away from the spur sideways as well. My day-to-day duties entail being constantly on my feet and after almost six weeks in a boot and the tendon is about to heal, I would step over something or stretch something and end up in my stupid boot again! My parents have been doing this for 17 months, until they discovered this Three weeks ago I was in a brace, but now I'm out of it. An area in the back of this brace acts as a groove to hold the tendon in place. Additionally, it reminds me to keep my ankle flexible. There are not enough words to express my feelings. As well as heel gel packs, I use heel elastics to help keep the tendon elastic. I have found that the new version digs into my ankles when I walk due to a very thick area above the ankle. The item cannot be returned after I tried to return it.
