This is where I keep my cigars when I travel. It's easy to use and made of a tough, thick plastic. The Boveda pack inside has lasted me more than a year, but I suppose it depends on how well you keep it closed. There are no complaints about the bag itself, but I have several of them and one of them is not as well made as the others - Because the ZipLock grooves were misaligned, it eventually stopped working. So, if you receive one that doesn't seem quite right, my advice is to send it back right away.

I used to keep all of my cigars in a humidor and let them age for about a year before smoking them, but I started to notice that cigars like the Davidoff and the OpusX tasted much better when they were brand new. When I aged my cigars in a wooden humidor, I discovered that they all tasted pretty much the same. It wasn't as bad if the cellophane was left on, but in the end, keeping the brands and styles separate is the best way to preserve the distinct flavor.

I bought this for a six-day trip to Mexico that I recently took. I'm working on a herf-related project. I needed more space than the herf could provide, so I built a dor that will hold 5 medium ring cigars. In addition, I ended up packing my (filled) torch lighter in my checked luggage with the help of the herf. I brought a total of eight items. In the boveda bag, I had 9 medium to large ring cigars, but I could have fit at least another 6- in there. 7 more. It was extremely effective! It's long-lasting and can be reused multiple times. I plan to use this again in the future and if the 69% humidity control pack (included) dries out, I will just use one of my smaller 8- In the bag, there are gram humidity control packs.

It is not possible to seal it. Simply use a ziplock bag and purchase the Boveda packs separately. These totes are a disaster. I had to return at least two of them because they were defective and didn't even come close to being airtight. tight. Now I see that it's clearly a poor product; save a few bucks and buy the packs to use with your own bag instead.

It's just an 8 gram boveda packet sealed in a ziploc bag. I assume there would be a separate internal pocket for the packet, but there isn't one, and the packet is almost gone after only a month, so there's no way this could last a year. I'd just buy a bunch of 8 gram packets for the same price and put them in my own baggie. Even for a vacation humidor, I don't think it's worth the money to me. There are a plethora of superior alternatives. I'll continue to use Boveda products in the future, but not this one.

My only criticism is that the zipper does not appear to be very durable. Even when it isn't overfilled, it splits apart from time to time. However, for the price and concept, it's fantastic. You'll have to buy a new one every year anyway, so go for it for a summer's worth of use!.

I'll buy it again if the backup control packs are available. I bought the humidor bag in April, and after 4 months, I just checked the Boveda control pack inside the humidor bag, and it's still dry. The cigars, too, have become a little crusty. Since loading it up and closing the lid on my humidor, the humidor bag was sealed tight and I haven't messed with it. I was hoping for a miracle solution, but I'm not surprised it didn't work for the full year. I've been using the humidity control packs inside my humidor for years, and I wanted to cut down on how often I had to replace them (and save money). This is still a viable option for that requirement; I'll just have to replace one humidity control pack every two years. Instead of three control packs per month, I now have three control packs every three months. With only one humidity pack, I was able to keep my cigars from becoming dust for about three months. It's not the claimed year, but it reduces my humidity pack purchases by a factor of ten, so I'm content to buy one new bag every year and replace the humidity pack five times. Throughout the year, six times. You might be able to get a year's use out of a bag. In a climate with an ambient humidity of more than 10, a single Control pack is sufficient, but this is not the case in Arizona.

I purchased three of these, two small and one medium size. Two of the smaller ones have ripped the locking mechanism (they are only used on weekends). They appear to be too tight, and the zip lock separates/pulls away from the bag, rendering it useless. They were purchased at different times, so I don't believe it's a bad defective run; they're just the way they are. br>br>Though my medium one hasn't yet ripped, I only use it for general storage.
