Maybe they were re-enacting something, I thought. cycled, and perhaps this was what was meant by used. However, I noticed where it said "New or Used" in the description, so you are correct; I'm hoping the person who said "used" meant they tried a few out of the package and didn't like them, but I would never buy these "used" regardless of the situation.
The fork is a standard size. It's almost as deep as a 9-inch dinner plate.
The only information I could find on the packaging was that it was made for a company in Brooklyn, New York.

I prefer clear plastic utensils because they are of higher quality than most, and I've been buying combo packs from Costco for a long time, so I now have an abundance of knives and spoons but no forks. Buying your product's forks in a box was the ideal solution. When disposable tableware is required for a large party, they are of good quality and look nice.
My order of 300 plastic forks arrived today in a sealed box. The forks had clearly been handled, and an attempt to return them to their original packaging failed miserably. This is completely unacceptable in today's world where we want our items to be as sanitary as possible.
These are very light and flimsy. Today, my 5-year-old grandson broke two forks while attempting to eat a cut-up hotdog. I always use the Kirkland brand from Costco, which is great but only comes in sets, so I always have extra spoons. To balance out the plastic utensils, I purchased these. I'd return them, but we've already used about 20 of them. REAL JUNK.
We're a small group, but we have a potluck dinner every other month, and because we're seniors, we need heavy-duty plastic. The construction and price are excellent for what we require.
These are the only forks I buy now; ordering the other brands was hit or miss. They're sturdy, durable, and can withstand heat for a short period of time; my most recent packaging was busted, but that wasn't a problem because all forks were still intact.
I did some research on Amazon and found that these plastic forks were the most durable and high-quality. They were described as being "heavy duty. " They weren't nearly as sturdy as a couple of forks I still have on hand that I bought elsewhere and that are so much better that I have no idea what brand they are, so I'm considering returning them. They bend easily.
I HAD BOUGHT THIS BOX OF FORKS BEFORE, EVEN THOUGH I DID NOT REALLY LOOK AT IT. I BOUGHT THEM FOR A PRIVATE CHRISTIAN SCHOOL WHERE TWO OF MY GRANDCHILDREN TEACH, AND I THINK YOU WILL LIKE THEM. THEY ARE STRONG ENOUGH TO KEEP THE TINES FROM BREAKING OFF UNLESS YOU BITE THEM VERY HARD.
Spoons were a bit of a letdown. I'd classify this plastic flatware as "medium" weight, but it's mostly usable. The spoons are oddly different from the knives and forks, which is my only real complaint. The spoons are significantly smaller, thinner, and less expensive. Nonetheless, the package has a reasonable price.
