Questions & Answers

Is each towel half-size, or "pick your own size"?

That is correct. You have the option of using a full or half sheet.

Is there no bleach available?

"no chlorine bleach was used to whiten"

Is it true that for $7, there are six rolls? When compared to the retail price, they're dirt cheap. ?

Yes, there are a total of six rolls.

Is it possible to recycle these or put them in the food compost bins?

It probably depends on the rules at your local recycling center, but you can certainly compost them! I wouldn't recommend it if you've previously cleaned them with a chemical cleaner (obviously).

Selected User Reviews For Seventh Generation Paper Towels, 100% Recycled Paper, 2-ply, 8 Count (Pack of 4)

Good Enough / Environmentally Friendly I usually purchase Bounty Essentials paper towels, so I'm comparing these to the 7th Generation paper towels
4/5

They're both a step forward in the right direction. both come in the select-a-size version of a full-thickness paper towel, and both come in the select-a-size version of a full-thickness paper towel. option for size Each appears to be the same weight and thickness. Only one side of the 7th Generation towels is embossed, while the other is flat. The word Bounty is embossed all over the card. I held them up to the light in the second photo. The towels in the 7th Generation are a little thicker. With each, I absorbed a small amount of water. The water was wicked more effectively by the Bounty. The liquid is pushed around a little more in the 7th Generation. Although Bounty is more absorbent, it's a minor advantage. I sprayed some cleaner on the 7th Generation towel, and it worked well. br>br>Conclusion: The seventh generation is more environmentally friendly. friendly. Most of the time, a full-size, full-thickness paper towel isn't necessary for my needs; Bounty Essentials are ideal, and the 7th Gen appear to be just as good. I'll update this post as I finish the first roll, but for now, I'm content with cutting down on paper consumption.

Great value and 100% recycled paper combined in one product
5/5

For things like paper towels and toilet paper, we shouldn't use good, new paper. I will only purchase these because they are made from 100% recycled paper that wouldn be used elsewhere! There's no need to cut down trees or waste other resources to clean up spills in the kitchen!.

Recycled paper towels are more harmful to your health than regular paper towels
3/5

For years, I bought this brand and other recycled paper towel products until I decided to look into BPA and Phthalates in recycled products. I bought these to avoid the dioxins found in regular paper towels, only to discover that dioxins can still be found in any of these paper products. Then I came across all of the studies on BPA/pthlates/plastics that are found in HIGHER concentrations in recycled paper goods. It makes sense, given that pthalates are present in cardboard, receipts, and a variety of other "recycled" paper products. Pizza boxes, in particular, have some of the highest concentrations of any recycled product, according to one study, and this all goes straight into any recycled paper product you buy, including toilet paper. Down the rabbit hole. br>br> Recycled toilet paper has even been linked to problems with women's reproductive organs and external tissues, which makes sense. Dioxins from non-food sources are also a concern. It appears that recycled paper is never expelled from the human body. br>br>I won't name the brand out of respect for the 7th generation, but in my home, I've gone completely bamboo or bamboo/sugarcane. When we aren't using 100% organic cotton washcloths, we use bamboo/sc toilet paper, paper towels, and napkins. Although it may seem inconvenient, your health is invaluable. It's one thing for me to read an article on a general "healthy living" website. However, when the facts are backed up by real scientific studies from 2010 to 2021, the picture becomes clear. That's when I realized how significant this was. br>br>I felt compelled to share because we all think we're doing our best for our health or the environment when we buy these things, but not everything that glitters is gold.

It's completely useless
3/5

I'm not sure what to say. It is, without a doubt, one of the worst paper towels I have ever encountered. It's made of a single ply of paper that's very thin. So, in order to use normally, I'll have to double up. What could possibly be more difficult? It's necessary to multiply by four. Even so, it's insufficient. It will simply lose its form (whatever little it had) as it comes into contact with water and then shrink. br>br>To summarize, it is not something I would recommend. I'd consider it if they were giving it away for free. Even so, it would be difficult to persuade: Too weak to be used as a paper towel, but too soft to be used as a poop bag.

My regular brand was out of stock, so I decided to give this one a try; it's a little pricey, but well worth it
5/5

They absorb messes quickly, and I seem to use them less now than I did previously. I intend to use these papre towels as my primary towels. They're really good. Definitely recommended.

They're so thin that they're only useful as napkins or as tp in an emergency
3/5

If you're looking for thick, absorbent paper towels, these aren't a good choice; they're so thin that we've been using them only as napkins at meals and saving the rest for emergency toilet paper. To do one decent paper towel job, you'll need three or four of these paper towels! I had no choice but to buy these paper towels because they were the only ones available with my groceries. but not in the future They irritate me more than anything else (tears, not ripping off the roll properly).

Paper Towels are the absolute worst
3/5

EVER. These are the worst paper towels I've ever encountered. Easily comparable to dollar store paper towels or the lowest quality paper towels available. I bought it because I was out of paper towels and couldn't find any at the local stores because of COVID, so I ordered it when I saw it was in stock and had good reviews. Most of the time, I use bounty or bounty basic. These are far inferior to bounty in terms of quality. They are thin and difficult to rip off the roll, but they break apart when dampened and used to wipe down a counter or table surface. For the same job, you'll need more than one sheet, whereas with bounty, you'll only need one. I'm getting through them a lot faster now that I'm working on a bigger project. I'll use them up or donate them, and I'll never buy another item from this line. The planet itself- The only thing these have going for them is the friendly component. Other than that, don't purchase them.
