These bulbs are LEDs, not incandescents, which could melt some fixtures if they got too hot. These also brightly light the blacklight posters, something that none of the older styles I've recently purchased do. I'm switching to LEDs from now on because they can't make the old-style ones without adding heat. This LED bulb is fantastic! No heat issues, and a great price; I recall one blacklight bulb costing $20 at Spencer Gifts in the mall back in the day. My posters as well as the bulbs in action are shown below. I have two fluorescent bulbs here as well, but their lighting of the posters is far inferior to that of these two LED bulbs.
After seeing some at a relative's house, I decided to buy them for Halloween. They worked well in the outside lights and provided excellent illumination for the fluorescent chalk on the walkway. I liked how they fit into a standard light fixture and could thus be placed anywhere. Much more powerful than the 24" fluorescent tubes I was previously using. They're best used in dim lighting and don't compete well with other broad-spectrum bulbs. Next year, I'm hoping to get a few more.
Maybe I'm crazy, but these blacklights aren't as good as the ones I used to have when I was a teenager and they were only a buck or two. 00 per piece I recall everything being a lot more reactive than it is with these bulbs, so I installed two of them. I wanted to go back to my adolescent years.
They're sturdy bulbs that don't get as hot as some other black lights. br>I've only used this bulb a few times at short intervals, but it gets five stars for durability.
Even when left on for long periods of time, these LED bulbs do not heat up, making them far safer than traditional glass black light bulbs. They're not very heavy. They light up the room beautifully. They're made from non-toxic materials. Because the bulbs are made of glass, I assume there is less risk of them breaking due to accidents or rough handling.
They are adored by her. For a two-pack, this is an excellent deal. The bulbs should be able to last for a long time. They are extremely popular among my daughter's friends.
So far, the quality has been very bright and perfect.
