There are no differences between G8 120v bulbs. There are a variety of lengths available. It will work if the pins fit into the socket.
The Lumens are not listed on the package. They have a G8 base and are Xenon 120V 20W bulbs. They're similar to a 120V 20W Halogen Bulb, but they're a shade whiter. I swapped out the 120v 20w halogens for these Xenons, which run slightly cooler. For lighting, I use a lot of them in my display case. They appear to be quite effective.

I spoke with Feit Customer Service, and they informed me that the 1 3/8-inch long bulbs are no longer available. They have now reached the age of one. The customer service person said it had something to do with regulations, which is why they changed them. They were 8 inches long with the same description, wattage, bar code in the store, and so on.

One of the bulbs in my under cabinet lights, which is approaching ten years old, just went out. The bulbs in these obnoxious contraptions are pressed flat on both sides. I looked everywhere for a bulb with the same profile but couldn't find one, so I used some other bulbs that worked fine until I tried to replace the front cover. When I tried to put the covers together, the plastic tabs broke. I'm not sure what kind of gas was used in these, but they're a lot smaller and fit better than the originals. The color temperature and brightness are identical. I'm hoping they'll last as long as the originals did.
I needed to get some more of these for my kitchen pucket lights. Lowe's is currently offering a three-bulb set for $17. br>It doesn't show how the pack of 12 looks, but you'll get four packages, each with three bulbs. Take a look at the photo provided by Amazon for the three-pack. Each pack contains three bulbs, and you will receive four of them. br>As a result, I got 12 bulbs for the same price as three bulbs at Lowe's! br>As usual, I am satisfied with my Amazon purchase.
The bulbs are bright, but they don't last long in my under-cabinet lighting. lighting for the counters Each of my lights requires three of these, and one of them burns out every other month or so in each fixture. I was hoping for a lot more durability from these bulbs. They can't be touched with bare hands, like many other bulbs of this style (oil on fingers apparently weakens the bulb structure), which makes changing them a challenge.
We'll be using these Feit xenons in our puck lights. Purchasing one or two items is not cost effective, but this multipack is reasonably priced. So far, the ones we've replaced haven't broken down. I believe the key is to avoid touching them with your bare hands, so I replace the bulbs with my kitchen gloves. Any oils on your skin, I suppose, have an impact on the bulb's longevity. Even though it sounds strange, I read it in a few places.
They're only good for a couple of weeks. One that was put in on the 22nd of January 2015, for example, failed on the 5th of March. It was carefully installed to prevent any skin or other oily contact with the lamp. I've stopped buying Feit CFL EcoBulbs because they, too, have a short lifespan; I had hoped that xenon lamps would be more dependable, but they aren't. br>br>Recent changes: br>br> On April 21, 2015, the lamp that had been installed on March 5th had failed. Clean disposable gloves were used once more for installation. Six weeks is the average length of life. An original lamp is still going strong, but I can't figure out who made it. I checked the voltage at the failing location and found it to be normal; there was no issue. I'm not going to buy any more Feit bulbs or lamps.
It's a good fit for one of those under-utilized spaces. puck lights for cabinets It doesn't appear to be as snug as the original. It's as if the leads are made of a slightly thinner gauge wire; it blinks out now and then, but a tap brings it back. Stopping point that is acceptable Until I get around to switching to LED lights, there will be a gap.
For years, I've relied on this Xenon lamp. In a given year, about six fixtures must be replaced (nine fixture system). They are exposed to every condition Mother Nature can throw at them because they are outdoors, so they do occasionally fail, but I don't think anyone could expect anything less.
I had to go to Home Depot every two months when I was using standard halogen. This Xenon bulb became my new home. Despite the fact that the bulbs do burn out, I checked my logs and discovered that I had only used six bulbs in the previous 24 months. Did they each last 4,000 hours? If I use the lights for six hours a day, they should last 666 days. Almost two years has passed. However, as I previously stated, this is more like 2,000 hours; however, these light bulbs last significantly longer than standard halogen bulbs. br>br>I would give this product five stars if the packaging stopped claiming 4,000 hours and instead stated 2,000. Nonetheless, this bulb easily outperforms a standard halogen!
- br>br>It's worth noting that low-voltage puck light bulbs last a lot longer than high-voltage puck light bulbs. So far, in about six years, I have never had to replace any of those!.
