There is a scent to these, even if many people are unaware of it. Because I'm allergic to scents, I switched from Shout to Carbona to avoid being scented. br>I don't recall the scent transferring to the clean laundry, but I couldn't get past the fact that the sheets were scented.
I would wash dark colors with blacks, but I would be wary of washing whites with blacks if the black is still bleeding and the whites are a fabric that will absorb loose dye from the water. I alternated new cotton polo shirts in navy, maroon, and dark green with polo shirts that were cotton but had been washed frequently enough that the dark colors had faded. It's not an issue. Personally, I follow the rules of laundry when it comes to color bleeding and color grouping. New dark-colored cottons, as well as dark-colored blended fabrics, will frequently bleed dye. Color Catchers can help you to relax in this situation. Fabrics, colors, and water temperature all influence how confident I am in my Color Catchers. When I know dye bleeding is going to happen (as with a new dark cotton shirt or jeans), I haven't been disappointed in their ability to absorb it. Whites and blacks mix. I'm allergic to certain things. There has never been an issue. This is an excellent product. does a fantastic job- The wash hasn't faded at all. It's something I wouldn't be without!

These sheets have a strong scent to them. They are unlikely to help you if you have allergies or sinus problems. They were also given a book, which absorbed so much of the scent that it had to be returned. I'm going to experiment with Amazon's Color Blocker Dye Trapping sheets - They're unscented, so they're a good choice. If you want to try the Shout Color Catcher but are allergic to perfume-like scents, you might want to order it separately so that it doesn't interfere with other items in your order.
I adore these, they haven not worked 100% of the time but I now use two in a load to ensure - As a result, I'd give them a solid 98% of the time for their awesome. Tip from a savvy shopper. If they come out of the washer white or have no color on them after being used - Do not throw them away; use them in the next load. Every load of laundry has a color catch sheet in it. As a broke college student who paid per wash and dry at the laundromat, not having to do as many loads was huge. I mixed in new/unwashed red towels with our white towels in the picture from the box I ordered here. The tan settled into the sheet, which absorbed all of the color. Everything that went into the washing machine came out looking the same. This is a fantastic deal as well; I've never seen a bulk box like this in a store. A great deal for 72 washes and the prevention of countless ruined garments.
It works fine, but not 100%. I bought some new blue jeans and threw in an old white small towel and a few of these dye trapping sheets with the first wash (for testing purposes). The white towel had light blue patches on it when it was removed. Still, I like this product: I had some summer trousers in a variety of colors (white, black, and brown) that I washed with black last year, and the white part turned gray. Because I like them, I continued to wear and wash them. When I washed them recently with Shout sheets, the white became white and the "gray" color was trapped in the sheets. SO. FINAL REMARKS. Yes, these sheets work for the most part, but I wouldn't wear a red shirt with whites. Being safe is preferable to being sorry. Despite the fact that it isn't perfect, I give it 5 stars because grimy, old whites will become whiter.

Sure, you've got your bright, multi-colored toy. There are a plethora of softener sheets and liquids, as well as mission detergent pods, that turn stinky laundry into pillowy meadows of scent, and even more incredible. the laundry cleaning and freshening products that have no scent! But all of that is thrown out the window when that one rogue red ninja sock monkey turns your crisp white shirts, blouses, and sweaters pink! br>br>To avoid color transfer, I use Shout Color Catcher sheets with every wash. I only use half a sheet per wash and it seems to work fine; a box of 72 sheets also lasts twice as long! We're aware that the sheet collects stray color. off in the washer because the dye-catching sheet changes color while your clothes stay the same color! Depending on which colors you've washed, the used sheets start out white and then turn light or dark grey, or pink. Since using these sheets, there has been no color transfer. br>br>When washing brand new jeans or bright clothing that is prone to running, the first wash should be done separately. This is only for the initial wash. After that, you can rest assured that these sheets will perform admirably under full loads. They are extremely effective. I'm not sure how they figure out what to do, but they get the job done! Remember- On a standard load, half a sheet is usually sufficient, and a dollar can be stretched!.
DOESN'T WORK IN THIS SITUATION. I've attached a photo, but many of my light and dark colored items have been stained red. This product piqued my interest because I despise having to do separate loads for my lighter colors, which are often insufficient. br>br>It stained all of my lights, and I can't seem to get them out. I used three sheets, each of which had a red stain.
