Despite being skeptical, I decided to give these a try since they had such great reviews. My experience with these wool balls has convinced me that I can't go back to fabric softeners. The following items were purchased for 2 purposes For use as dryer balls according to the intended purpose I wanted to give my cats dryer balls of their own so they wouldn't steal mine out of the dryer anymore. It just so happens that my cats thought dryer balls were toys, so I already had them. In order to use half of these for my dryer, and half for my cat, I bought these. So they have no interest in dryer balls any longer, and they no longer climb in the dryer to steal my balls.

The job is done perfectly by them. The fibers left behind during the drying process are very small to none. It is imperative that you wash these on their own in hot water and dry them before using them in order to ensure all loose fibers are removed before throwing them in with a load. Otherwise, you will end up with fiber/lint in your clothing.
