I'm not sure about using in the washer, but I don't use fabric softener; I just throw these wool balls in the dryer and everything comes out fine. I don't think liquid fabric softener is necessary. Static can be a problem, so I try to hang dry items that will add to the problem, such as some of my blouses.
The Penguins are in my possession. There is no evidence of bleeding. They've been in use with every dryer lad since Christmas.
2- is what I personally use. 3 for a standard/medium-sized load of laundry You don't want to put too many of them in with a big load because they won't have enough room in the dryer to move around.
They're handcrafted in the Nepalese capital of Kathmandu. This item is made entirely in the United States.

When the dryer is finished, the only drawback is having to search through the hot laundry for the balls. They have a habit of getting caught in the legs of pants and the sleeves of long sleeved shirts. Aside from that, I like this product and it does exactly what it should!.
The genuine article, these dryer balls. I've used other dryer balls in the past, but these are larger, more solid, and more well-made. That's most likely why they're so much more effective! The embroidery is also excellent - My previous ones were simply printed with a design that faded after a few uses. I'm very happy with my purchase and plan to purchase more as gifts!.
After looking at several different types of dryer balls, I decided to go with these for a variety of reasons. The fact that it was organic, eco-friendly, handmade, and fair trade, as well as the fact that it contained no chemicals, which I am allergic to, was crucial, as were the positive reviews. I value a company that is concerned about animals and their treatment, as this is something that I value greatly. I'd buy these again in a heartbeat, and the lightning-quick delivery was an added bonus. I used to use a different brand until they were worn out, but I will now buy from this company.
These dryer balls are one of my favorite things. They were purchased to replace a previous set that was soft and didn't appear to be performing well. I gave them another chance because I was trying to live a greener life. These dryer balls are a little bigger than a baseball and are a little harder than the others I had. I like that there are six because I always seem to lose one or two until I get caught up on folding. They even come with a storage bag for when they aren't in use. The design is extremely enjoyable to look at. It may appear silly, but it makes me smile even when I'm doing something mundane. My clothes (darks and whites) appear to be lint-free after using these dryer balls. I'm so glad I decided to give dryer balls another chance!.
We've now ordered three sets of these Friendsheep dryer balls because we love the cute designs and how efficient and useful they are. When we have more than one dryer going or have sheets/blankets in the dryer that require more dryer balls, having three sets comes in handy in our building's laundry room. It's also been great not having to spend money on dryer sheets (and then having to throw them away, resulting in waste), and we enjoy using essential oils - Add oils *hours* ahead of time to allow them to absorb into the dryer ball, use several drops, and reapply frequently. Patchouli, for example, is a strong scent that I recommend!.
I like the way these look; they make me happy, but they don't work well with blankets and towels. I need my clothes to dry in one cycle because I pay for laundromat services. So I only use these for my clothes, and I wash them all together in one load. They also get stuck in fitted sheets, which is yet another reason to avoid using them with sheets, towels, and other similar items.
I'm very pleased with the product; I did add a scent to a couple of the balls, but the scent has not been detected in the clothes. It's possible that I didn't put enough scent in the balls for it to penetrate the clothes.
These make me laugh every time I see them. I use them in addition to half a dryer sheet because I tried them on their own and they produced far too much static for where I live, but I always laugh when I see them rolling around. They're of good quality, and I'll buy them again.
