There is no odor to these at all! (I have a very sensitive sense of smell; if they smelled at all, believe me, I would notice. ) I don't understand the negative feedback! I believe those who had negative experiences with these did not follow the "first time use" instructions. I'm only on my second day with them, and I'm on my fifth or sixth load of laundry, but I'm in love! I purchased the star ones, which are adorable. Update: Since I've had more opportunities to use these, I'd say that the vast majority of my loads are static-free, but a couple of them have had static, which I believe is due to over-drying, which the instructions warn against. I'm sticking with my five-star rating. They're really nice, and yes, they do speed up the drying process.
They absorb moisture from wet laundry, then release it back into the dryer as the laundry dries, keeping your clothes soft! What a wonderful concept! These balls are fantastic!.
I've had these for about 6 loads now, and I've noticed that the laundry takes a lot less time to dry. I would advise against overdrying because this is when static is more likely to occur. I've been setting the drying time to about half of what I was previously using, and then checking how much longer the batch requires by the time it's finished. After a few attempts, you'll be able to determine how long you'll need. Good luck with the drying process!.
She was so taken aback by them that she sent me a set. The first thing I did with them was to give them a thorough sniff test to see if they had any odor to begin with, and there was none!
