I've never used dryer sheets before, and these are my first dryer balls. I've probably used them around 30 times now and would buy them again if I had to. I bought them to fluff up down jackets that had been stored for the winter, and they did a great job. I used them on a fluffy blanket that stuns me every time I take it out of the dryer, and the static was significantly reduced. There was still some static, but not to the point where I was afraid to touch the blanket, as I am usually. When I tried adding a few drops of lavender essential oil to each ball, I discovered that it was too much. I believe that two drops to two balls, regardless of load size, is about right. Towels and pillows are now drying faster than before. I used to have to add more time after the dryer turned off, but since adding the balls, I haven't had to do so. I've also noticed that button-down shirts and bed sheets are less wrinkled after washing. I guess they do what they say they're going to do!.

This was purchased to help me improve my sustainability efforts and lower my carbon footprint! I don't have to buy or use obnoxious fabric sheets or even fabric softener liquid any longer. They're also packaged in a cute reusable storage bag. One thing I noticed was that they sent my package in a plastic bag. So you've got a linen bag inside a plastic bag? Ugh. br>br>5/23/19 Update: I've heard that these balls are supposed to reduce static electricity. I honestly don't believe that, and I have scientific evidence to back up my claim. To begin with, they are WOOL. which is possible to be static Next: The static crackling is usually caused by constant rubbing against something, which causes an accumulation of charged electrons. So, regardless of whether you use these or not, how do you reduce static? is to keep the drying time as short as possible, and to avoid overdoing it. To avoid wrinkles and static, dry your clothes and remove them while they are still slightly damp, then hang them to dry.

work really well! Each one is about the same size as a quarter. most of the time! There will be no loud bouncing off the dryer drum this time. I've also been able to reduce drying time or temperature (or both!). Simply choose your favorite essential oil and use it. Toss into balls according to personal preference. I prefer a subtle to moderate scent (currently coriander oil). every 2 minutes, use 1/3 of an eye dropper, split between a couple of balls. 3 loads in the dryer Leaves laundry smelling fresh, unlike most dryer sheets, which have a heavy, cloying scent. And at $7 per box, these guys paid for themselves in less than a month. I wish I had purchased them many years ago!.

I'm thrilled that they're available on Amazon. I don't use fabric softener or dryer sheets when I wash my clothes. I haven't done so in a long time. That's because I already knew both of them left a residue on my clothes. These are absolutely incredible. Drying time is reduced, and static cling is eliminated. I only use three dryer balls at a time, and I never use all six. It isn't required. In addition, I do not have a lot of laundry to dry. These come highly recommended by me!.

This is the first time I've used wool balls. I'm happy with how it turned out. If you wet a couple of them, they do disperse the scent into the laundry. Drops of essential oil are used. In addition, they soften your clothes. There are almost no wrinkles. The two drawbacks are that I don't believe they reduce drying time (which was my primary motivation for purchasing them) and that they don't seem to be as effective as other similar products. In the dryer, they make a lot of noise.

Please take the time to read the critique. These were purchased as a try-it-out gift by my son. Because I was running low on dryer sheets, I decided to pull them out and give them a shot. I honestly didn't think these would work very well, but I was pleasantly surprised when I opened the dryer door and discovered that none of my clothes were wrinkled or had any static. I was taken aback by the unexpectedness of the situation. So I got out my essential oils and sprayed a few drops on each of the dryer balls, and my clothes smell so much better than anything the dryer sheets can do. Since I started using essential oils, I've gotten a lot of compliments on my clothes. I also appreciate not having to use as many chemicals as I would with fabric softener. As I previously stated, I was a skeptic until I ran out of fabric sheets, so trust me when I say you will love these dryer balls. I also want to point out that, with the rising cost of everything and people losing their jobs, these are great to have on hand as a backup for when you don't have enough money to buy dryer sheets. Also useful for those days when you run out of dryer sheets and don't feel like leaving the house. If you don't want to pack the kids, or if you've started a monthly friend visit and don't feel like going out because you're cramping or just want to poo, there will be days when you simply don't want to. for those who want to get away from those dreadful chemicals, and the list goes on and on. These are excellent to purchase and keep on hand for those "just in case" occasions. Hey, you should have a set of Tonga e on hand, and you'll be glad you did! Once you begin to use them, you will become a user of them as well. I've also started making my own laundry soap, and I've had a lot of positive feedback on how nice my clothes smell. People have asked me everything from what kind of perfume I wear to what kind of body wash I use. And each time, I tell them about my laundry soap and dryer balls, which work in tandem with the scent of my laundry to produce a distinct aroma that you won't find in any other laundry scent. Even the guys at my husband's place of business would agree. I don't want to come across as if I'm picking on you. What kind of laundry detergent do you use, though? They've also all offered to buy laundry soap for their wives to take home with them. I have my own recipe that I have tweaked here and there to make it my own. This is the best because it literally brings your clothes back to life and makes them look brand new. This laundry soap will keep all of your brand new clothes fresh, crisp, and clean, just as they were when you first bought them at the mall or in stores, and it's safe to say. to keep them looking like newbr> I've also made a batch for my whites, and it's by far the best non-alcoholic beverage I've ever tried. I, on the other hand, am rapidly losing socks. I needed to get rid of my dryer sheet addiction, so I purchased these. Although the static is far from gone, the amount that remains appears to be manageable. But there's still enough static that socks are getting caught in things, and I'm losing about one per load, which wasn't the case with dryer sheets. I misplaced one of the balls during the last load. All of this will be discovered, and I guess I won't miss the chemicals.
