In my large front-loader washer, I had a teeny-tiny bit of the tablet left over. However, after a few months of owning my washer, I encountered a problem. br>The repairman advised me to use straight Vinegar in the Rinse Cycle cup every time I washed clothes. br>It's functional, and I leave the door and drawer open after each wash.
As someone who is sensitive to scents, I can attest to the fact that it has a very strong scent, so strong that I would not use it in my washing machine. (Others have claimed that the scent does not linger; I am unable to comment on this because I did not trust the scent to dissipate and did not run it through a cycle.) Too many washing machines have been "stained" with the scent of laundry products - I'm unable to use public laundry facilities because my clothes are "stained" with odors: / ). So, if you're sensitive to scents, I recommend trying out other brands that are fragrance-free and work just as well.

This is truly magical stuff! br>I couldn't believe it when I read a review on here about a sock that "magically" reappeared after using this product. To say the least, I thought they were full of it, but it happened to me. Let me give you some background information. br>I dismantled my entire front-load LG super-expensive washer six months ago because it stank. I scrubbed and sanitized the area. After several hours of cleaning and assembling, I was finally done. What did I do after swearing I'd never let it get to that point again? I turned into a washing machine ninja, wiping down the door, draining the tank, and drying everything with a washing machine fan. br>I was looking for something a little more advanced than bleach for the tub cleaning mode (on the washer) that I was doing on a monthly basis. I just didn't think the bleach was "tough" enough. So, after reading all of the reviews, I felt compelled to give this product a shot. br>Well, I finally used Affresh HE Washer Cleaner Tablets and ran it through the tub clean cycle. I was stunned when I opened the door and kept saying, "No freakin' way!" "Lol I did it so many times that my wife thought something was wrong and came over. I'm not sure how long this sock was in my washer, but I know it was clean six months ago. If you use Affresh HE Washer Cleaner, you'll be able to figure out how a sock ended up in your washing machine. BTW, it wasn't a sock that was hidden inside of this amazing cleaner, but one of my wife's socks (brand name of sock). br>But, returning to how clean my washing machine was, it smells just as clean, if not cleaner, than when I disassembled everything for a hand scrubbing. It not only smells clean, but it was also clean when I gave it the wipe test, which involved folding back the rubber gasket and wiping it with a white rag. There was no leftover residue. 5 stars for you, Affresh HE Washer Cleaner!.
In our clothes washer, we followed the product instructions to the letter. There was no discernible difference, as evidenced by the attached photographs. It had no effect on the washer's cleanliness. This product was a complete waste of money and a huge disappointment.
After I use this stuff, I'm always amazed at how clean my drum is. It's something I use about three or four times a year to keep my washer clean and smelling nice. That's most likely due to water temperature or hardness, rather than anything else. People who leave negative reviews because the moldy smell won't go away are most likely closing the barn doors after the horses have escaped. This should be used right away, not after a problem has been identified. Many new washers, including mine, have exhaust fans that tumble the clothes every 5 minutes for 12 hours, which helps keep mold and mildew at bay if you forget you left the clothes in the machine. If your machine is always getting moldy and you can no longer stand it, you might want to consider purchasing one with that feature. Keep the door open when not in use; unfortunately, my washer and dryer are in a laundry closet in the main area of the house, so this isn't an option for me, but it hasn't been an issue so far.
It was a complete waste of money. I have one of those naughty LG front-load washers with all the rubber on the front. With these machines, mold can grow in a "greenhouse. " This seemed like a good idea at the time. There isn't a smidgeon of difference between the two. Even after the third cycle, it didn't seem to clean any better. Thank goodness it was a low-cost option.
My roommate, who has had nasal surgery and claims to be unable to smell, moved into a home with a top loader HE washing machine. Her clothes, as well as the washing machine, reeked horribly. Three times, I used an afresh tablet. Using the self-clean cycle, one after the other. Although the odor had improved, it was still present. As a result, I've assigned 1 2 cups bleach in the machine, which was then run through the self-clean cycle once more. The odor has now dissipated. I'm sure the afresh helped, but there had to be some mold or something else that the afresh couldn't get rid of. Remember, this machine smelled terrible to begin with, so I'm pleased with the outcome.

It took 4 hours to complete (!). ) and when it was finished, there was a BUNCH of hair in the little rubber part on the bottom - I'm not sure where it originated - However, there was still a significant amount of mold present. The pack came in three pieces, and I'm going to try it again tomorrow to see if it works.
