I was very impressed with the reviews on it, which said it was for this purpose. Both binders I used were old, high quality leather bound with about 40 years of age. The program behaved well and was easy to use After that, the skin felt less oily and more supple. Of course, the real test awaits after a few more decades, and I will have to wait and see how it works.
My leather bound books are peppered with gold leaf lettering and I used this on my leather bound books as well. There were no problems at all.

For cleaning / preserving antique leather book bindings, I used this product. Two coats of paste were applied to the drier covers, then the paste was allowed to soak in for a couple of hours, and then the paste was buffed with a soft, clean cloth until the tacky feeling was gone. The product does not repair or restore leather with red rust, but it revitalizes dry, stiff leather by adding new life to it and greatly improves its suppleness so that it is less susceptible to cracking. The product I used to apply the preservative was not very effective in removing stains from leather however, the cloth that I used to do so had to be rotated often, as it picked up dirt as it went. I've used this product for a few months now and the binding does not appear worn out.
It is easy to apply and works great. As well as lasting a very long time, and only requiring a little amount for each application, this product appears to be very economical. It is very generous of you to make I am very happy with my purchase.
There is no better product for leather restoration and preservation than this. Until now, I had never found anything that would compare. It was used to repair old leather book bindings most recently. By removing this substance from the bindings, they were stopped from deteriorating and preserved. There is no residue left behind. We are talking about the real thing here.

In the beginning of the year, my leather Bible was just starting to crack at the spine. In comparison to other creams, this one made it supple and did not affect the gold lettering. In the beginning, I made one application, let it sit for several hours, and then repeated it. Quite pleased with the results!.
