Questions & Answers

What's your experience with this and a power scrubber?

It is not necessary for me to use a power brush. You can be certain it has taken some of Bona's power off, but not all of it. I had a cherrywood floor that was one year old when Bona destroyed it. After I had done a spot test, it looked good. Didn't realize your feet prints, shoe prints and everything you touch on it stay on the floor when you walk. The floor in my room has never looked the same since. Boa is a terrible person. The remover might have been created for this reason

I polished laminate floors, but the polish was sticky and showed footprints. How can I make it less sticky?

My only solution for getting rid of the sticky polish and footprints was to use baby oil. There is a Bona polish remover that I bought. I had to mop and wash my hands several times As you bend your knees, you feel a burning sensation

Are there any special materials I need to remove the high gloss hardwood floor polish from my brand new engineered hardwood floors?

My friend recommended Bona polish remover, so I bought it from them. The method works, but you need to scrape off the wax to remove it from the It looks great now that I've cleaned my floors up. Bona was the only place to buy it.

When applying the Bona polish remover, is it possible to use it just in the places where the dust settled into the ?

If the polish were removed from a certain part of the nail, it would be difficult to blend it with the portions still intact. It has been pretty easy for me to touch up the polish where I missed it when applying it.

There is a scam called Bona
3/5

As I lived in my home, I mistakenly applied bona polish to all my hand carved hardwoods. White streaks on the walls, sticky floors, accumulating dust. . . there was something wrong when I began to notice any of these things. Apparently, it was the bona polish that built up after 3 years of use. However, I scrubbing like crazy as soon as I got the remover. Despite trying everything from vinegar to windex, I couldn't get rid of the odor. All the things I tried did not work. There were so many things that frustrated me. It wasn't until I read about an Instant Wax Remover people used to remove orange glow from their floors that I realized how helpful it is. This seemed like it would be worth a try. A product called Trewax instant wax remover does the job. There is only a $11 price tag on it at Home Depot. Spending money on this was the best decision ever made. To achieve this, I had to work hard. The skin comes off as soon as you scrub it on your hands and knees. Thank you, what a relief! As a result of the product, my hardwoods look new once again. I am never going to use Bona or any other product in the future. Whether it is vinegar and water, my trusty steamer, or a steamer. My usual method for reviewing products is to ignore them but I was annoyed with the bona polish and their ploy to fool you into purchasing their remover, which doesn't work well enough and I had to write a review about them. It is my hope that this will be helpful to.

It is OK to remove polish with a polish remover
4/5

The Polish language. I'm not going to do that! That's so cool. Don't let anything catch you off guard! The polish was used accidentally or on purpose with a low quality and you regret it (which is what happened to me). An incredible amount of effort has to be put into taking it off. We're not doing a mop job here. This is a job that requires you to bend over and do it on your (At Home Depot, get a set of knee pads. Take the time. It's worth it. 2) We have 1500 square feet of hardwood floors that have been polished twice over the past two years with Bona floor polish. A second coat could not fix the first coat because it was an error. One reviewer suggested using Windex to remove the polish I tried that and it worked for most part, but it left smears and drip marks that I assume were caused by too much As I had noticed some leftover polish after a few months of swiffering and cleaning with vinegar and water, I decided to try once more to remove the remaining polish and I chose to try the polish remover since I was unsure how much Windex my floor finish would tolerate. I was extremely pleased to find that even after days of work on my hands and knees, I managed to remove the drip marks, shine marks from leftover polish, and smear marks from the windex with It looks like my floors are a little dull and there may be a residue that I will try to remove over the next few months by swiffering and only using water to clean. It's the rinse that makes all of the difference, in my opinion! I then rinsed the microfiber mop with vinegar and water after it had been cleansed with clean We had our floors installed about three years ago, and they look pretty much the same as when we first got them. This is the only way I plan to clean these floors in the future other than spritzing lightly with water and using a microfiber mop. My preferred way to clean sticky things is to spritz them with a little water and vinegar if there is visible dirt. However, nothing with the name BONA on it will be manufactured. The polish remover I've used so far has run out after four bottles, so I had to dilute it with water in places where windex already did To use the Bona polish in the first place was a costly error. I am never going to do it.

Although I have seen a lot of bad products, I am not surprised
3/5

My health has been affected by a lot of bad products over the years, but this one breaks the mold. It should tell you something if Bona is going to make a floor polish remover. As a whole, the polish is an unholy beast.
The worst part of this story is that the remover DOES NOT WORK.
It will become apparent after you apply it several times why there is a remover for this polish. It was just a waste of time, energy, and money.

It's good to remove polish with that
5/5

My bad decision to polish my perfectly good wood floors was a huge mistake. It is normal for the floors to appear dirty and hazy after a while, owing to the splotchy polish. It's not a good idea to It is an effective polish remover that I bought. My results are very satisfactory, despite the fact that it is time consuming and I had to put my back into it. A polish is visible on the left side while a stripe is visible on the right.

Remover and polish from Bona are not recommended for use
3/5

I find this absolutely disgusting and reprehensible It is also very expensive, and it does not work effectively to remove its horrible POLISH that nobody should ever deal with. Do not use ammonia that has been diluted more than 50 percent with water You should also open all the windows and scratch scrub pads. To remove their GLUE aka "Polish," which comes off and stains and hazes over time, it took 15 hours of labor.

It is a good product
4/5

Following a couple years of using bona floor cleaner, I thought I would use floor polish after a couple years of using it. This is what I should have done. Well I put down a good amount of the product with clean pads and applied it the same way that it was suggested. It It was reported to Bona that I did not put down enough money. That's why I go back to the store and buy more. I have the same issue. There is a dull, filmy look to the floors. Nothing worked when I tried to clean. A scrub pad and new clean pad came with the wax remover I bought. My fifth bottle of the product is working, but I'm on my fifth. Please do not do that again, My plan is to use a spray mop and clean distilled water with vinegar. No tracking on the floor, and the finish isn't dull or filmy.

After a while, the sky got hazy and dull (like so many people have described it
5/5

Try everything you can to remove Bona floor polish from your floors if you find it hard to remove. This will do just fine. When trying to fix a problem with Bona floor polish, I was wary of using Bona Polish Remover. In the beginning, the floor polish worked on the floors but after a while, it became hazy and dull (as many people have said after The solution worked for me since my floors were white oak. I am sorry, I used to love your product on my floors, but no longer. However, this polish remover got them clean right away!.
