Questions & Answers

Could you please tell me if this stuff has a shelf life? I only need 2lbs, but I would like to get the extra 2lbs just in case. ?

One of the biggest challenges with Rootx is that it is a two-part As a result of the contact between the two components, the two react together and harden as moisture is present. Although some people claim it still works in that condition, if it is broken up again at that time, it's no longer a smooth application and you might not get the coverage you need. In summary, the answer is that the two components should be kept separate and dry for several years, and will be fine if they are kept dry and separated.

Do you know if this works on existing rootballs? Our sewer line just broke and the plumber wants thousands for digging up the pipe. We have only had the sewer line for 15 months. ?

She bought a 1955 house that was built by her grandmother. There was a tree planted pretty much over the sewer line by the previous owner. They started having sewer line problems, so he cut it down, but didn't remove the stump. The house was foreclosed on and sat vacant for 4 years before being sold. Her plumber, who told me about root X when I snaked the line when she bought it, is the one who told me that when she bought it. The purchase and use of this device did not pose any issues for her. Moreover, the stump was ground out so that future problems will not arise.

Can you tell me where this powder should be placed? My toilet doesn't seem to be working, so I guess the outside trap is the problem?

When you flush the toilet at night, you put the product in there. It is my understanding the product gets through to the tank if you do not use the water drains for eight hours. Approximately. Flushes should be done as directed by your physician I believe the directions are in the package

Is simpler and cheaper than hiring a plumber and works 100% of the time! I moved into a house built in the 60's over 13 years ago and have had nothing but root problems ever since
5/5

Two times a year, I had to hire a rooter staff to snake my line and remove large balls of roots. In certain cases, the snake cable could get stuck and they had to bring the water jetter or return and try to retrieve it. In the end, RootX treatments were recommended by the rooter. In the end, I chose to try it out. My decision to stop dealing with them was based on the fact that they messed up and overcharged me for a different plumbing project. I found that I could perform the RootX treatment myself instead. I've been using RootX for over 3 years, and I don't need to call a plumber to snake the line on my sewer ever In the early part of this year, I bought my own sewer rooter snake, just to take care of my own plumbing needs without having to pay for it. In my pursuit of shins and grit, I decided to run the snake down my sewer line to see if I could snag any roots. The sample came back clean even after running it nearly 70 feet out! A new version of the update is available As far as this review goes, I hope to keep it current- My review was 3 years ago and I still haven't had a root problem! I am very sorry about the delay in this update. My roots are still intact and I haven't had a problem in the past 2 years! - (That's a total of 5 years' problem-- You can quit anytime). A new update will be posted every year.

The following instructions should be followed for the The first thing I want to do is get these three things sorted out It is true that Step 4 and Step 5B are incredibly misleading, and that this is why peoples toilets overflow
5/5

All of these steps need to be taken in conjunction with one another. The second point is not a bonus. In reading the reviews for this, I notice that no one mentioned collaborating with more than one person on it. The importance of this cannot be overstated! Three, the last point. It may seem obvious to buy the 4 pound tub with the funnel since it is the most cost-effective option, but keep in mind that it may be difficult to use half of the container (like I was). In the end, I divided the contents into 2 ziplock bags to make sure they were even, and then I dumped one of those bags back into the ridx container so that I always know it is 2 pounds. Having said that, here is how it is done Here's what you need to do Make sure that one person is in charge of flushing the toilet and dumping the contents of the Ridx. A 5 gallon bucket of water must be dumped by the other person. It is imperative that all 3 steps be performed at the same time! You will be able to turn this on if you time it correctly. Whenever you flush the toilet, be sure to press it ALL THE WAY DOWN and hold it until the flush has occurred. The flushing options on modern toilets (such as the Kohler I have) are typically 2 or 3. If water is used only half as much as it normally would The use of a hard flush will obviously use more water and electricity (which is what If you have gathered enough momentum, you can actually start dumping the bucket a bit just before the flush takes place (just to get yourself going when it becomes time to dump everything As you watch the foam rise to the surface, you WILL start to doubt yourself. That's not what you did. Dump as much as you can. In Step 2, you need to the next time you flush the toilet, dump an additional 5 gallons of water and flush it again to ensure the Ridx makes its way to the outside pipes (especially if you dump it in the only toilet in the house, as mine is on the second floor). The third step is as follows Using the second 2 pound ziplock bag you have, dump the contents inside the ridx container (and moisture trap packets if you have any) and close the lid so you can use it again in six If this stuff doesn't stick to you, you won't have any problems. That's all I have to say. It took me HOURS to research this before I did this last night. I was sure I didn't make the same mistakes others did (the biggest mistake is people simply don't dump the 5 gallon water while doing the ridx and flushing). Thank you for reading, and I hope it is helpful.

I know exactly where the root of the problem lies. The roots were found at 70 feet from the furthest toilet using a sewer camera I rented. Every three days, I clean with a pressure washer jetter For a period of 4 months, the line will be It sounded interesting, so I decided to try it. Despite the fact that the instructions were bad, it may have worked. So that I could work with an open line, I removed the toilet. After jettisoning the roots, I removed them. In order to reach 70 feet, I needed 4 lbs, and the directions instructed me to dump it all in and fill it with A BIG MISTAKE was made! I dumped the rootx into the elbow of the sewer line directly below the toilet, and it filled it completely. Water began flowing out like a geyser when water was added (as directed). There were 4 inches of foam covering the bathroom floor and it went halfway through each side of the room. Considering I only came into contact with half a pound of the product, I'm quite confident none of it went 70 feet down the sewer line. My four large towels were ruined, so I spent an hour cleaning the . The directions should have been written as Make sure you turn on your garden hose most of the way to get a positive flow of water being carried down your sewer line cleanout. Then shake rootx little by little into the drain with care so that there is no backup. " It would have been fine if that had been the case.

I got this product after having a problem with roots growing into our sewer pipe, which connects to the public line at the street
5/5

It worked like a charm. The last 3 years have seen Over the past four years, we have paid huge sums ($450+ a pop) to get guys to come out and unclog the drain and cut out the roots. It is our ultimate goal to fix the sewer pipe so we plan on digging up the front yard to replace it but we have decided to give ROOTX a shot because the drain company recommended that product since that is the one The root came back six months after using it twice, but the product does not need to be used again It has been eight Two things you need to know about using this program how to use it and what not to do with it. Don't flush the toilet for at least 8+ hours after you apply the product, and don't pour all 4 pounds of the liquid in at once. I learned this lesson the hard way after I overflowed my toilet. To avoid accidentally using the water drainage system during the night outing or while on vacation, we waited until after we had spent the night at a party or on vacation. It might be helpful if you read this.
