Putting this stuff in the toilet or tank at any level has very little chance of reaching the leach fields, as Lava Lamps points out. Start digging if your leach lines do not have cleanouts. If you're not sure where your tank's end is, get an 8-foot 1/4-inch pipe with a ball valve and female garden hose fitting from Tractor Supply or Home Depot in more rural areas.br> You can use it to locate the tank's end by running water through it. The sewer pipe from the tank runs into your distribution box. 1 to 2 feet is the most likely range. You'll have to dig until you find it. It will be profound, and it will not be simple. If you find it and it's made of concrete, dig around it until you see the lid's seam. Remove it by digging beneath it. Pour this into it right away. Replace the lid, but don't cover it, either until it works or until you're certain it won't. br>Even if you don't need new lines, you'll need this exposed. I'm not claiming that it will succeed. I'm not sure if the lines are really that bad. Septics, in any case, are a difficult problem to solve.
Bill, I put it in the distribution box because it was close to the issue and I had easy access to it. Actually, I have two distribution boxes because I pump the septic tank drain and separate gray water to the third box, where I added this product; the instructions say to put it in the toilet because I believe that is the only access most people have. The "T" section, according to my husband, is the "clean-up" section. out". Simply place it in the toilet bowl. This is an incredible product. We've had a lot of issues as a result of the drought. It dislodges the TP that has clogged the drain or leach field's "out pipe." It takes two days for it to work. The monthly treatment is now our standard. There will be no more expensive septic cleanouts.
Mine goes in the line that connects the septic tank to the distribution box. It's also a good place to pour it in if you can locate the distribution box. Once a month is all I need to do. It's been 45 years since I've updated my system. It's possible that pouring it into the septic tank will dilute it excessively. If you have any questions, you should contact the manufacturer.

With the exception of the type of TP, we had to be careful what we put into an old system. It was treated with Rid X on a monthly basis, but the surface water and odor quickly returned. When I pumped the system, there was a massive island of undigested material, mostly paper, but it was clear that the septic system had failed. Once the system was up and running, Scotch released massive amounts of Rid X and Super Shock to clear and clean the leach field. I expected it to take a while, maybe two weeks. Water has returned to the surface after a three-week hiatus. @$$%! Well, there was water and stench every time we did laundry, and after six months, I'm ready for a new system. Keep in mind that I've been "Super Treating" this problem with large and repeated doses of the above-mentioned substances. Something had to give, so I switched to Roebic570 and Green Pig! I was determined to bring this thing back to life by continuing to add a major regimen of both. A MONTH AND A HUNDRED THOUSANDTHOUSANDTHOUSANDTHOUS The pig squealed when I added two packages of the pig and a bottle of 570 per week. The water and stench appeared and then vanished as quickly as they appeared! And, just to be safe, I'm going to give the system a dose of both once a month to keep things running smoothly. Yes, it was overkill, but it was a resounding success! Save your money on the box of sawdust and the low-cost super shock, and use Scotch Stick to Glue instead. Scotch Stick to Glue is more effective at keeping things stuck! Do 570 and then let the pigs loose!.
If you have a newer system and have a full tank, read this! If you have a newer system, check to see if your filter is clogged before proceeding with any "treatment" procedures. Because it wasn't my problem, I have no idea if this product will fix a drain field. This review is solely for the purpose of assisting someone in a similar situation to myself. br>We noticed slow toilet flushes after doing laundry because I'm a first-time septic owner. This was a rude awakening, so I summoned the first available pumper, who discovered the tank to be overflowing. He made a remark about our drain field being clogged, but then pumped the tank out and walked away. We had the same problem with slow flushing toilets about a month later. I was terrified of having to repair my drain field, so I went online and found this information. It was worth a shot due to the low price and ease of use. We adhered to the instructions. For a couple weeks, I poured it in before going to bed and limited my water usage. There has been no change. As a result, we went through the motions again. No progress has been made. We repeated the process twice more with no results. The holidays were approaching, and we were fed up with things, so we called another septic guy to come look at what was going on after two months and four bottles of this stuff. He inquired about the age of our system over the phone. He asked if the filter had been cleaned after I told him it had been three and a half years. "What filter?" I inquired. " Well, it appears that most newer systems (say, in the last 20 years), particularly plastic tanks like ours, have a filter that keeps debris out of the drain field. Our filter (after it was cleaned) is the yellow object in the photo. The water level in the tank began to drop as soon as they raised the filter. Our drain field is in perfect working order. We had a clogged filter, but we didn't need to have it pumped out. Now that I'm aware of this, the first thing I'll do is check the filter. Best wishes to you.
On a monthly basis, I used ridx. My septic tank and leach field had completely filled up and were no longer draining after several months. I had the tank pumped twice in three months and was considering spending $6000 on a new leach field. I felt led to try the Roebic 570 by the Lord, and it was a great success.

If I had a ten-star rating, I would give it to this product. I should have known better, but I couldn't even mow my lawn over a section of my leach field last summer. I tried, but I ruined that section of my lawn, and the spinning tires on my lawn tractor sprayed filthy mud all over my legs and back. I was hoping it was simply a result of overuse of water. Winter arrived (and it was a particularly harsh one), and because the ground was frozen, I missed anything amusing. That is, until spring arrived and the snow melted, at which point my lawn was completely destroyed. I had a puddle of grey water about 12 feet long and 5 feet wide, and I knew it wasn't good. I went online and started learning about septic systems and how much they could cost to fix, and I was sick to my stomach and wished I hadn't just used rid-it-all. In the tank, there is an x. I was well aware that this would be a significant financial outlay. I was skeptical about this product when I saw it on Amazon, but the price was right, so I decided to give it a shot. It's been a month since I installed it, and my lawn is completely parched. There are cracks where the grass has vanished due to the extreme dryness. I have another bottle, but I believe I will only use it for maintenance purposes at this time. This is fantastic.
