After writing to them, they sent a powder that only required a scoop and opened up in a matter of hours! I would never buy liquid and only use their powder; I saw a QVC info commercial that appeared to work, but it didn't! However, there is power there. As a result, I assign a - to the liquid. Powder is a 10 on a scale of one to five.
I originally purchased this product from HSN because I was having trouble with my drains and was willing to try anything. I've tried everything from Drano to Pequa, but none of them seem to work completely. I was taken aback when this product actually worked. It cleared all of my drains in a matter of hours, whereas my mother's kitchen sink was clogged badly. br> When I ran out of Dr. Amos drain cleaner, I went to Amazon and placed an order. In the meantime, I ordered "Amazon's Choice" for same-day delivery from Amazon. It was a complete waste of money for me when I tried it out. There was a lot of standing water in the drain because it was slow. This arrived today, and I dumped it down the drain. The drain was completely blocked within an hour. br>I will say that the cleaner performs better the longer it is left alone to work. OVERNIGHT is your best bet. Then I boil some water in a large pot (not quite boiling, but close) and pour it down the drain. The issue has been resolved. This product will save you a lot of money if you have hair in your bathroom sinks or recurring clogs!

I can't wait to show my daughter (who has long hair) how wonderful this product is. My shower drain was slowing down, and I was dreading having to use the caustic Draino to fix it. Professor Amos' drain cleaner had been advertised on late-night television. I decided the next morning to order some from Amazon. When the package arrived, I went upstairs and poured the recommended 10 ounces down the drain, forgetting to return and rinse it down. My drain was clear and free the next morning when I took a shower. I have no doubt- As a preventative measure against clogs, I'm going around to all of my drains and spraying them with Professor Amos.
Their hair is all very long. I have long hair as well, and I use this tub on a regular basis. I noticed that the drain had slowed down and was becoming clogged. I used Professor Amos Drain Cleaner and was blown away by how quickly the drain was cleared! It did exactly what it said it would. It is extremely simple to use. There is no bad odor, unlike other drain cleaners I've used in the past; other popular drain cleaners smell awful and require you to use the entire bottle and leave it overnight! I only used eight ounces of Professor Amos Drain Cleaner. , and I spent about an hour with my mother. When I got home, I poured two cups of water down the drain after heating them in the microwave. Just to be sure, I did two more cups. When I turned on the water in the tub, the drain was crystal clear, and it drained quickly! I'm going to take some to my Mother's house to unclog her kitchen sink drain, which is constantly clogged. She's tried the "other" drain cleaners, but they don't seem to work. After watching their video, I did some research and decided on this product. I poured one cup of the thick liquid down my sink drain last night and let it sit overnight (leaving the bathroom window open a crack to allow the smell to escape despite the cold outside). I filled a large pitcher with hot tap water and poured it into the bathroom sink after breakfast. I must admit that the fact that the water drained so quickly astounded me! That is the first time in years that my sink has worked like that! br>br>Once the pitcher was empty, I turned on the hot water, which took a while to get upstairs into that tap, and flushed the pipe to try to get the product smell out. The smell is definitely lighter than the other drain cleaners I've tried, but because I have a sensitive nose, I could still smell it every time I ran the water until it was completely flushed out. I used an unscented natural all-purpose cleaner to clean my sink. If the odor wasn't coming from the sink, but from the pipes, use a general-purpose cleaning spray. It did go away after several minutes of flushing, but having the water go down the drain right away is well worth the effort! br>br>I'm going to use this product tonight to unclog my shower drain, and I'm looking forward to not having to shower with my feet in a pool of water. (Because of the smell, I didn't want to clean both drains at the same time in my small bathroom. ) )br>br>A buildup of Aquaphor (for healing tattoos), Advanced Silicone Gel (for diminishing scars), soap, hard water, and hair are my best guesses for the cause of my clogs. This product did an excellent job of cutting through it! It is something I strongly suggest. br>br>Because I'm using it on a septic system, I'm hoping it'll be as safe as the manufacturer claims! My shower was recently experiencing a slow drain. Drano and Liquid Plummer were the two products I tried. br>I only used a single bottle. There was no change after several hours. br>As a result, I used the second bottle over the course of the night and the majority of the following day. For about a week, this worked. After that, it's back to the slow draining mode. br>I live in a home that is less than two years old. I don't have any partners. Only water hair and Philisophy soap make it down the drain. br>I'd rather buy Liquid Plummer for the money.
