It does wonders
5/5

TRUST ME! I recently moved into an apartment that had previously housed a three-year-old girl with long hair. I'm guessing she never bothered to touch the drain and didn't mind showering in a tub that would end up FULL of water, based on how much hair I was able to pull out with a snake. With the amount of hair I was able to remove, I was astounded that the tub would still be about half-full when I finished showering. I was at a loss for what to do, especially since I have a lot of hair and couldn't get any more out with the snake. When I told a friend about the mess I was in, he told me about this product and how it works wonders when his wife's hair clogs up the tub, so I tried it. In a single word. . . AMAZING! I followed the bottle's instructions, and I'm not sure what it did or how it worked, but my drain is now completely clear! WATER WILL NO LONGER BE STANDING! ANYONE with a clogged drain would benefit from this. The only drawback is that it was difficult to figure out what 1/5 of the bottle was, so I had to wing it, and I'm pretty sure I used more than I needed; a clear measuring strip on the side would be even better.

As the clogs return, this is a temporary fix
3/5

I bought this to unclog my bathtub, but it seems to clog up every two weeks or so. 3 weeks. As a result, I must use Drano twice a month. This stuff only works for a short time. I bought the plastic decloggers to snake down the drain and pull out anything I could, and I discovered half-melted hair. What this Drano does is attempt to chemically melt everything it touches in the pipes, but it doesn really do 100%. It eventually builds back up, causing you to keep buying and using the product; however, this is only a temporary fix, not a permanent one.

It did a great job of clearing the drains, and I still have a bottle left to keep them that way
5/5

We had a major sink backup two weeks ago, so we hired a plumber to travel the 60 miles to our remote location. I'm too old to crawl around under the old house any longer. The wife would not tolerate it if the plumber said he'd be out in three or four days. She took out the plunger and filled both sinks with hot water before turning on the disposal (which was clear) and plunging the clogged sink while the disposal was running. It did a great job of clearing the clog. Drano was immediately dispatched to clear the sink, bathtub, and basins even further. My wife is afflicted with a condition known as butt- We have issues because she has long hair and uses very thick conditioners on it, despite the fact that she uses strainers in the tub. While I was putting the draino in, she washed the strainers. In the tub, there is about 16 oz. I'm very happy with the results, and we'll keep this in stock as long as I can get a good deal on it. Thank you, Amazon, for making this deal possible.

It is never effective
3/5

This stuff went down the drain four times. It didn't work; by the end of the day, the clog had progressed from a slow drain to a complete blockage. br>br>Place some in a cup to test; hair and gunk in the cup were barely affected after 24 hours.

My bathtub drain was clogged, so I cleaned it out
5/5

This is what I ordered to clear out the drain in my bathtub. It wasn't completely clogged, but it was draining slowly enough that water was accumulating around my ankles while showering, so I figured I'd help it out and prevent it from getting worse. I followed the instructions by pouring 1/5 of the fluid in the container down the drain, letting it sit for about an hour, then turning on the water and letting it heat up on its own time, rather than boiling it myself or getting hot water from a faucet. I let it run for a few minutes once it was hot, and that was the end of it. The drain now functions exactly as it did when I first moved in; there is no rising water line and the water simply flows down the drain. This is an excellent product. br>br>Just be careful when pouring it out; I got a drop from the splashback and it bleached a large dot into my shirt.

A fantastic item! I bought it to unplug a bathroom sink that was taking an eternity to drain
5/5

With the drain stopper open, I poured it into the sink until there was about two inches of water left. I heard the clog loosen and the cleaner drain from the sink in less than three minutes. I didn't even add the hot water until the drain was clear, to flush the cleaner out of the sink and drain. br> br> br> br> br> br Sodium hydroxide is a strong caustic that burns the skin and eyes very quickly. When using this product, I strongly advise you to use latex gloves and safety glasses, and if you get it on your skin, wash it immediately. If it gets into your eye, immediately flush it out with a lot of water. If the burning continues, see a doctor right away!.

There Is No Other Chemical- I've used other drain openings that work just as well as this one
5/5

I've used a lot of chemical drain openers over the years. The only one that worked was this one. I poured it into a clog in one of our bathrooms and left it to soak for about 20 minutes. Then, 20 minutes later, I returned to find that the standing water had vanished. br>br> I turned on the drain and, to my surprise, the water began to drain slowly, which was a significant improvement over before the treatment. br>br>I went over the steps once more. When I returned, I was ecstatic to discover that the drain had been unclogged and that the water was flowing freely. br>br>Wow, this is incredible. While many drain opener products make similar claims, this is the only one that claims to be able to unclog drains without causing damage to pipes (a warning our plumber had given us).

After three tries, I was able to clear a major bathroom sink clog
5/5

I understand the negative feedback; depending on the severity of your clog, you may need to use the entire bottle. Even so, it's still less expensive than calling in a plumber. Keep in mind that you must use HOT WATER that has been brought to a boil! (HOT WATER FROM THE SINK OR THE BATHTUB IS INSUFFICIENT!) ) I saw no improvement the first time I used this, but that was due to my failure to use boiling water. I'm talking about real boiled water; leave it to boil for 15 or 20 minutes until it's scalding. The clog is easily defeated. 3rd of the bottle should be used. I don't advise using the entire bottle; a few tries are preferable to one. Allow 30–45 minutes for the process to complete. When I first poured the drano, my bathroom sink was so bad that it took ten minutes for it to drain. There was a significant improvement after the second time; the water would leave in seconds, but not quickly enough. I took the most time the third time. I used as much hot water as I could and left it to boil for 25 minutes. My water leaves are now as fresh as they were when I first bought them. Because we had the sinks replaced last year, my landlord demanded that we pay an $80 plumber fee. On them, I'm making jokes. This stuff is effective!.
