Questions & Answers

Will this product work with a Moen push-button drain (which you open and close by pressing down on the sink stopper)? Is it necessary to take out the stopper?

I created the first and original Zip-lock bag. I designed it so that you don't have to remove the stopper when using it as a drain cleaning tool. br>Yes, without removing the stopper, it will work. br>Thank you, Genebr>gene@zipitclean. com

I'm not sure what kind of plastic this is. ?

Hello, this is a very flexible plastic, but the label does not specify what type of plastic it is.

Will this work on a bathroom sink with an on-off switch? Is it possible to remove the stopper?

It will, in fact. It's something I've done for a long time. The non- When you want the sink to hold the water (activated by pulling up or pushing down on a control rod), a plunger (or metal stopper) covers the drain. The plunger mechanism has a top that unscrews to give you more room to get the Zip-it out. It comes in and goes out. I'm not sure if your sink plunger (stopper) has an unscrewable cap, but if it does, you're in luck. If the top or cap of your plunger (stopper) won't unscrew, the Zip-Lock will help. It will still work, but moving the Zip-Lock will be more difficult. It went down the drain and back up.

Because a shower drain is larger than a sink drain, will this work?

Yes, a shower drain will work with this method. If the drain has a hole-filled cover, simply unscrew the screw that holds it in place, then remove the screw and cover. Keep an eye on the screw and make sure it doesn't fall down the drain. Replace the screw and cover the drain after you've finished cleaning it.

By far the most effective - The original zip was designed and manufactured in the United States by the inventor
5/5

Designed and manufactured in the United States by the inventor - not the knockoffs that are on the market. I've had my original zipit for about ten years and couldn't find it when I needed a replacement, so I went online and saw that they claimed to be the original. It was garbage and a knockoff that you could discard after just one pull. I pull the original, i. e. this one, three times for the bathroom sink, one on each side of the drain, and it gets everything and has lasted for years. Pay the extra money to ensure you get this one instead of the flimsy knockoff.

Your drains' version of the "Marie Condo"! WOW! I'm both disgusted by what was in my drains and relieved that it's all gone and my bathtub drains perfectly
5/5

There were no chemicals used in the process. Zip It's a stroke of brilliance! If you're decluttering your house like the rest of us during this pandemic, declutter your drains as well. That scum doesn't make me happy at all! Zip It, I adore you! Thank you very much!.

These are going to be used a lot! Don't be fooled by a low-cost Chinese knock-off
5/5

off. The Zip-It is made of plastic. It's about a quarter-mile long. You don't have to be concerned about this breaking as you push it down the drain because it's an inch thick. The prongs won't separate from the main piece, either. br>br>Be careful, the prongs are a little sharp, but they WORK and will last you a long time. br>It's also made in the United States of America. br>5 out of 5 stars!.

I felt compelled to write a review for this because it was so fantastic. I'd had a clogged bathroom sink for a long time because I didn't want to hire a plumber and was afraid to try dumping a liquid down the drain because I'd heard it could damage your pipes. This thing worked like magic in a matter of minutes! I yanked out so much hair that I could almost make a wig out of it! It was insane and disgusting, but I'm overjoyed to have my sink back in working order! br>Out of curiosity, I decided to try it on my shower drain, which was draining perfectly fine at the time, and the same thing happened. I was able to get a large clump of hair out of my hair. The amount of hair down there astounded me. br>br>I strongly advise anyone with a clogged sink to use this product.

It's not difficult to break
3/5

As soon as I put it in the drain, all of the prickly things on the side broke off. Now they're stuck in the drain as well. I didn't use the final two. I didn't want to aggravate the situation any further.

My bathroom sink had been slowing draining and clogging for years, and I finally found a solution
5/5

This was something I had to call a plumber about once a year to fix. Last time, I tried a variety of liquid drain cleaners, which usually helped for a short time, but this clog was severe, and the drain cleaner didn't help at all. I ordered this product after reading the reviews out of desperation before calling a plumber yet again. I was skeptical at first, but I decided to give it a try, and boy am I glad I did. My bathroom sink unclogged and worked like new after snaking it down the drain and twisting it in three different places. It's a no-brainer to try this product at this price point. Anyone who has clogged or slow drains should use this product.

I had high hopes for this movie, but it disappointed me
3/5

I had high expectations based on the positive reviews. They didn't work for me, unfortunately. It's supposed to be as simple as sticking them down the drain and twisting them while holding them at the top. That isn't how it went at all. I was never able to get them to go more than a few inches down the drain. They didn't sway in the slightest. br> So it was more of a matter of pushing it down a few inches and then straightening it out. I even tried it in my sink to see if it was just the bathtub drain that was preventing it from working, but it didn't work there either. Unfortunately, my search for a solution will continue.

The most effective drain cleaner I've ever used
5/5

I estimate that clearing my first clogged sink saved me at least $100 in plumber fees. My sink plug has a very narrow opening, but the Zip-It fits through it perfectly. It continued to go down, breaking up what appeared to be soap scum and calcium deposits. It also broke up a calcium ring that had formed around the drain, which no other product had been able to remove. The entire procedure took about 15 minutes, including rinsing the drain with hot water afterwards, and the sink empties in seconds. The money was well spent.
