Questions & Answers

Is this the broom with the long handle? How wide is your broom?

It's a big broom, with bristles that are twelve inches wide at their widest point. The ability to adjust the angle is beneficial. The broom stick reaches up to my chin, and I'm five feet tall. I hope you found this information to be beneficial.

So, how does it get kitty litter out of the house?

It collects cat hair as well as kitty litter.

Is it okay to use this on hardwood floors?

No, the material from which it is made is "fluffed" to prevent scratching your wood floor, but it does "varnish." The dirt on the floor you're scrubbing is scratching and will show up over time; refinish it in about ten years to keep it from "Yellowing," and future generations of your family will be able to enjoy it.

What kind of bristles do you have? I'd like to apply it to hardwood floors. ?

I bought it for my hardwood floors as well. The bristles are soft and pliable, but I'm disappointed that the neck does not swivel so that hand positioning is not required.

Finding a soft, gentle bristle broom has proven to be just as difficult as locating a suitable laptop or vehicle. You can do a lot of research and still end up with a dubious product, so I did a lot of checking and discovered that most people used synthetic, stiff brooms, so I accepted that conclusion. I was finally able to locate this one and hoped that it was soft. Natural bristles that swept without throwing dirt due to stiffness are something I recall from my childhood. Yes, I go about it in a gentle manner. According to the reviews, it appears to be a good choice. It's synthetic, plastic bristles, after all. Their solution is to abrasion the last inch of the bristles in order to make them softer and easier to sweep. As a result, several buyers have mistakenly assumed that the brooms they received had been used by someone else and still contained dust particles from a previous owner's home. That's because of the above-mentioned softening process. I'll keep the broom because it's a little more forgiving when it comes to "flinging" dirt, and I'll see if our obsession with making everything out of plastic, even if it means sacrificing quality or customer satisfaction, is tolerable. Where did horse hair, corn stalks, palm fronds, and other natural, more flexible materials go? The swivel at the handle-head intersection could be useful, and it could be an excellent broom component. We'll see if the plastic parts don't quickly shear or grind away.

NOT AVAILABLE FOR RETURN! The bristles on the broom were frayed and pointing in all directions when it arrived

When I went to return the item, it said "This item is not returnable" on the returns page. What exactly are you talking about? I contacted Amazon, and they took care of the problem, but I buy things from Amazon because it's convenient, and this purchase was a dud. br>br>I have a ten-year-old daughter who I adore. OXO broom, which is over a year old. They don't make them any longer, and I needed a second broom for upstairs. This one looked promising, but I'm not going to pay money for a broom with frayed bristles. Seriously, it appears to be even worse than the one I've been using for more than a decade. (Actually, that one appears to be brand new. ).

OXO is an acronym that stands for "Outstanding Quality
5/5

" OXO brooms are known for their high quality, and this one is no exception. From the handle to the bristles, I've had this broom for a year and it's still going strong after weekly use. It's not only of excellent quality, but it's also light, sturdy, and thin enough to be stored anywhere. I used to have to plan ahead of time to get the broom out to clean, but now I just do it because it's so simple to use and clean. Overall, OXO is a hidden gem of a company that produces some of the best household products I've ever used, and the broom should be just the beginning of your cleaning tool collection. Broom of extremely high quality
5/5

It's easy to be irritated by paying this much for a simple indoor home broom, but once you use it, you'll probably agree that it's well worth the money: this is a high-quality metal and plastic design (the broom stick is aluminum, and the head components are plastic) that feels very solid. The broom head is mounted on an adjustable angle pivot point, allowing you to adjust it to a straight or angled position. The angle you choose is securely held in place by a ratcheting system, and it will not click out of place while you're using the broom. The bristles are medium in thickness, with good feathering at the tip, and provide excellent dust pickup for most indoor applications. I would not hesitate to recommend it, and it appears that the piece is well-made enough to last a long time. Five stars.

It's A Little Too Soft For My Taste
4/5

Call me old-fashioned, or blame it on my sweeping technique (or lack thereof), but I prefer bristles that are firmer. I believe that because it is too soft, it causes dust to fly around. br>br>Aside from the fact that I would prefer it to be a little less "bendy," it's a pretty nice broom. I like the side-to-side swivel because it makes it easier to reach those hard-to-reach places (like the gap between the refrigerator and the pantry, or the washer/dryer and the wall). It was attractive to me, so I bought it. I liked the colors and the items that went with them, so I'm satisfied. br>br>I have another broom from Williams-Sonoma, which I consider to be my "good" broom, if such a thing exists. It has soft bristles as well, but they are shorter and less bendy, so I use it more.

A new feature has been added to a long-lasting and dependable kitchen broom
5/5

This is a nice adjustable multiple angle feature that stays in place unless you move it to a different notch with a solid click. The only difference between this new OXO and our old, well-used OXO kitchen broom is that it has a handle. It lasted nearly a decade and would have lasted even longer if I hadn't started grabbing it for a quick sweep of the front steps and even the driveway, causing the lower finer bristles to break down, allowing dust and small particles to pass through. If you have an OXO broom and dustpan, like us, this new model is the same size as the old one, and the old dustpan will tuck around the handle just like before.
