In a septic system, anything containing bleach should be used with caution because bleach kills beneficial bacteria. Bacteria are responsible for the proper functioning of a septic system.
They certainly do not, in my opinion. They do, however, keep stains and accumulation at bay. To clean and disinfect the toilet bowl, I use Clorox toiletwands.
I use a bleach toilet bowl cleaner after waiting for the scrubbing bubbles to dissipate. For me, this is effective.
It simply wears off over time as a result of flushing and flowing water. If all else fails, it scrubs right off during cleaning, and it's a fairly simple gel to remove.

I was hoping that by using these, I wouldn't have to clean my toilets as often, but they still needed cleaning in the same amount of time as before I started using them. I'm not going to buy anything else in the future!.
There were no hopes for the situation described. There was no odor that I could detect. I was able to successfully apply the first gel. I didn't notice a difference, to be honest. When it came time to apply the second gel, the dispenser was not up to par. Instead of applying just one of the remaining gels, apply ALL of them. Now I have a large gel inside my toilet that I am hoping will make a difference, but it is a waste because one should only do what is necessary. After two uses, I had used up one package. I did buy a two-pack so I'll have more, but I'm not optimistic about them after my first encounter with the dispenser. The mechanism for dispensing needs to be improved. Money well spent. I don't think it's a good idea to try it.
Despite some negative reviews, I decided to order it. My house is completely full! Who has time to scrub toilets on a regular basis? Is my toilet still in good working order? My toilets haven't been used in a long time, and they're still spotless! Is there a stench? Yes, but it has a fresh, clean scent to it. It appeals to my tastes. Is it still attached and gradually dissolving as it should be? YES, it seems to be the case. Is the gel wand made of durable materials? No, but I'm not going to give it to a 5-year-old to play with. Is it straightforward to work with? Yes, even without looking at any directions, a normal person can figure it out. Will I repurchase it? Abso- freaking- lutely!.
I'm new to this product; we have heavily mineralized well water, and the marketing claims that it reduces lime scale piqued my interest. For me, it'll be worth it if it even helps with that. While vinegar works well, getting it to stick to the sides of the bowl is difficult and necessitates a fair amount of fiddling. Anyway, back to this product review. . . br>br>In general, I'm not a klutzy person; I read instructions and usually have no trouble following them; HOWEVER, this product got the best of me. The little tubes are simple to put together, and the button function is obvious. br>br> Regrettably, that is where the simplicity ends. Applying the gel was a bit of a pain for me in general. I pressed the button to apply the gel to the surface, but it didn't catch in the next hole as it should have. So I backed up to the proper hole, but only half of the gel stayed in place; the rest oozed out around the applicator's edge. br>br>I'm not proud of myself, but I figured I must have missed something, so I went on YouTube and watched two instructional videos. I couldn't think of anything I was doing wrong, so I went to the second toilet and tried again. Again, it took a lot of force to get the tube to move, and once it did, it simply skipped over four holes, spilling gel all over the place! This includes the skin on my hands. I got some TP and took some of the gel that had landed on the rim and tried to push it into the proper position under the rim, hoping to salvage something. br>br>But wait! It's not graceful, pleasant, or likely effective. br>br> I've got a third toilet and a third chance to get it right this time. I started by thoroughly washing my hands. I'm pretty sure this wasn't meant for skin contact, and my hands are itchy as a result. Because there were no special warnings on the package about what to do if the product came into contact with my skin, I simply used cold water and hand soap. It did have warnings about not allowing children or pets to come into contact with it, which I noticed. br>br>So I went to the third toilet, where it was basically the same thing. I used 6 applications on three toilets, with much of it going down the toilet and the remainder awkwardly pressed into place by hand, due to the way the applicator was hard to push and then would release quickly and go past the normal stops. br>br>I purchased a two pack so I will eventually get a chance to try again, but I'm pretty ready to go back to white vinegar. I need to wash my hands once more. If round two goes any better, I'll update my review. Furthermore, only time will tell if the mineral deposits have changed in any way.
WHERE DID RD GET HIS THOUGHTS FROM? 'Bug spray' sighs with each flush. I'm going to have to return it.
When I first moved out, I bought a lot of cleaning supplies that I was already familiar with, including this product! It's incredibly simple to use and extremely effective, cleaning your toilet with each flush! Helps prevent that nasty yellow ring from forming in your toilet bowl. It has a pleasant scent that lasts a long time, and after it has done its job and dissolved, which takes about a week, I go in and deep clean the toilet with other products. But, compared to not using it, this product keeps the toilet bowl much cleaner. I would strongly suggest it.
I've had no problems with these in the past, and I usually enjoy the scent. It's worth it, even if it's just for a short time with two boys. I pressed down on the top part as usual, but instead of stopping at the next notch, it pushed out the entire product. So now I'm left with a half-empty tube and a large glob of product stuck in my toilet. Lately, the products have been sticking strangely in general (possibly due to the heat), but the entire tube wasting is such a pain. This is also the first time I've purchased a two-pack, so I'm curious if the quality suffers as a result of the quantity.
Here's what's good about it: Between deep cleanings, these small gel disks are ideal for keeping your toilets sparkling clean. I'm really happy with how long these last; I bought a pack of six in September and there's still one left in December. When the disk is almost gone, I do a deep clean. br>And now for the bad news: The fact that even a single refill stick of the gel is nearly impossible to come by irritates me greatly. I used to be able to find them at Walmart, but I can't seem to find them any longer. This is a complete waste of time. All you need is the gel stick and the dispenser works perfectly. And this type of plastic isn't picked up by my city's recycling program. Another thing that is ridiculous, and in my opinion, price gouging, is the price! My word, it's over $4. 00 per dispenser and 6 use gel stick with 100% mark up In addition, Amazon does not have the best price. br>To summarize, I use them because they are so effective, but there are a few things with which I disagree.
