Questions & Answers

Can you tell me how the Fluid Master Flush and the Sparkle 8100 and 8300P8 models differ?

There is only one version of the 8300 bleach. Besides bleach, the description for the 8100 blue cartridge says it is a surfactant-based cartridge as well. An enzyme-based cleaning agent that reduces the spread of bacteria and viruses. It is fitting that the 8200 green cartridge should not be used with bleach in septic tanks.

If the cartridge is supposed to sit above or below the water line of the tank, or does it matter where it sits?

Please let me know if you have any further questions concerning the 8300P8 Flush "n" It is not uncommon for the cartridge housing unit to get wet since it is a sealed container. As a rule, the housing unit is typically located above the water line, but it can be partially submerged as well. How safe is this product for septic tanks? What happens to the good bacteria in the the septic tank when it is emptied?

A bleach cleaner cannot be used in a septic tank. We recommend the use of Ideally, you should use Balance (model 8202) Septic Cleaner or Original Blue Formula as these products don't contain any chemicals that could damage the enzymes in your

Do the carstides have to sit above or below the waterline of the tank, or is it even relevant?

What matters is that it doesn't From the toilet float valve, water goes directly into the cartridge. The cartridge system has two tubes, one for input and the other for output. Water is injected into the cartridge system, which circles around the cleaning tablet, and then discharged through the output line into the flapper ring and into

There is a lot of misinformation in the advertising for this product. Cleans your toilet bowl but does nothing to help keep it that way. I have had it installed for over a month, but it doesn't seem to be working. used a bowl cleaner before installing the device and noticed brown stains over the entire underwater surface after two weeks of operation. Both the blue refill and the uncolored refill yielded similar results for me. In reality, this is a giant scam because it costs $21+ plus the cost of refill cartridges Consumers get to keep them.

Generally, what I am about to say should apply to this product as well as other similar products that hang from tops of toilet tanks. First, some bowl lids, like the one on my Kohler Cimarron toilet, are equipped with protruding fingers forming the underside of the lid to center and secure it at the top of I have a long protrusion on one side of my lid. It is centered and leaves gaps on either side. The device must hang within either of those open ends in order for the lid to rest on top. There are no safe areas on left or right because of the float assembly in the left zone. There is a wide tube used in some fill valve designs even if a finger does not exist in the middle, like the Cimarron fill valve. As this tube is not centered, it's in the middle of the board, toward the rear. Therefore, the only way to hang it is within the right zone, deepest into the rear of the vessel. As a result, the intake hose is not long enough to reach the float nipple. In the beginning, I thought there would be no problem and I could just pull it off its nipple and replace it with a 10" hose -- but this product's intake hose looked as if it was If the nipple is recessed, it may be so. By attaching the Kohler fill hose to the intake hose with 1" piece of soft tubing, I was able to achieve what I was seeking Basically, splicing requires inserting the two hoses through this "splice" until they fit together. Tubing that is slightly larger than the two hoses (which need to be the same diameter) is needed to maximize water flow, but just small enough to ensure that it is secure and will not plenty of this stuff at my disposal in the DIY garage

The second issue involves the thickness of the device hangers, which will cause the lid to be pushed slightly upwards. In order to level it out (or steady it if you mount in the center) you must move something across the rim of the tank on the other (left) side, or on both ends if you mount at both ends). Luckily, I had some unidentified plastic clip in an old parts drawer that worked flawlessly If you want to level the lid, you will have to find something to shim it up with. In the future, those who may use the supplied pellet cannisters to resupply 1" brominating pellets specifically designed for spas will need to keep in mind the following details If you need to remove it with a small razor blade or dremel tool, do so carefully. You will still have a tight fit, but it won't be as "killer" as it was before. It demonstrates this by cutting a 1/4" V at the bottom of the cannister side. This will allow the prying process to begin as quickly as possible. The screwdriver can be inserted at the top of the screw, thus stopping the process. I have shown my installation in the picture below. The long finger with the spliced tube is visible on the back of the lid, the black clip used as a shim on the far left, and the black clip used as a shim on the far right. The cleaner installation would have been for me to cut the Fluidmaster tube and run the spliced line straight across the back. However, I chose to leave both tubes their full length in case I had to, or if I chose to - Ensure that the Fluidmaster is installed and moved.
