Chin straps have been my preferred method of carrying my laptop for more than a decade. While I have tried all of them, ruby red is what I like the best and never gives me any skin issues. This chin strap however is the worst one I have ever used.
The fabric, along with my cushions, hoses, and other items, go in mild soap and I hang them It is impossible for me to wash every have a high level of durability and last a long time. Hope you have a good day!
It isn't clear how much it was, but I got the XLG and I wear a 7 1/2 size hat, so I found the band to be a bit small.
Although I am not an expert, it does not seem fire resistant to me based on my very limited experiences. No indication of it can be found on the label. Because it is made from a foam rubber-type material and comes with a stretch cover, it would be strange to see it used close to flames or heat.

As a matter of fact, I have purchased these exact same chin straps in the past and they work just fine. After about a year or so, it seems that they hold up remarkably well and then they start slipping from regular use and repeated washings. Having tried other brands in the past, I was very happy when I discovered this one because it worked well for my use. You won't experience chaffing or any marks on your face after using it. Furthermore, my skin has not been adversely affected by the material. When it is very warm out, it does cause some dampness to form on the chin. However, it appears to be able to breathe where it makes contact with the chin and cheeks. Whenever I buy this product, I usually purchase 2 at the same time and I would purchase it.
It was used by the Husband to help him keep his mouth shut while sleeping with a CPAP machine. The problem, however, is it wakes him up feeling sweaty and it catches/irritates the stubble on his face as it hangs. In addition, even though the head of the man was very large, the mouthpiece was way too loose and couldn't be tightened enough to keep his mouth shut. The last thing he needs to do in the morning is wash his hair twice or three times and scrub his face four or five times to get the stink off of him. It is so unpleasant to have to wear chin straps, but there are other options that keep your mouth closed during the night and are much more comfortable. Look elsewhere, according to his recommendation. He stated that it feels cool when you first put it on and that's nice, but after 5 minutes, it starts feeling old and didn't feel cool any more. In my opinion, it's quite flimsy and I'm unsure how long it would hold up to frequent washings.
I was not able to keep my tongue on the roof of my mouth because I'm using a nasal cpap pillow mask. I'm in love! This one works great and I am glad I found it. Although the product works, it is not breathable, and it does not provide strong chin support. Although the material is soft, it is hot - it is not as breathable as you'd like it to be. This product is exactly what it should be I gave it 5 stars because it fulfills every requirement. Although the strap does hold my chin tightly, I discovered after using it for a few days that the problem it is supposed to address is not the problem I actually have. My lips do not stay closed and air escapes even when the strap is tightly wound around my chin. I need something across my teeth across my mouth so air cannot escape. The strap usually suffices for most people, but for me it isn't sufficient. Because of my unique situation, I have started using the mouth wetting dry mouth lozenges and they work pretty well for me. The second package is opened when I wake up in the middle of the night, so I take it when I wake up one and the first one before going to bed. Using this strap you will be able to close your mouth at night if it falls open.
