My claustrophobic reaction makes it impossible for me to wear it at night.
This is important to me, so thanks for reminding me. The fabric is similar to the material found in bras. Jogging is not a good time to wear this.

The ace bandage under my chin was too uncomfortable for me and I needed something else to sleep in. It has three straps that can be adjusted so that it hits your neck/chin at the right spots, which is great, however the area that cups your chin feels very confining, and the ear holes aren't going to line up for everyone. Initially, I made four slits in the fabric -- one under the chin, one at the bottom of the neck, and one at each ear -- but now it's comfortable enough that I can sleep in it. The size big will be most comfortable for me for two weeks without feeling too constricting in the face or claustrophobic.
My measurements landed me between med/large, so I went with the large and am It is possible to make it tighter, but it is not possible to make it looser. It's understandable why some people said the text was too large, and that some thought it was too small. As well as being large in the ear area (and the holes too low), I found it too tight in the chin area as well. There are some benefits from it as compared to the ace bandage I had been sent home with.
It has been three weeks since I started using it and I have noticed the change in my skin. Even when I'm sleeping, I have this problem.
I was a lot more satisfied with this chin strap than the one I received from my plastic surgeon. Adjustments can be made in three places on the strap. While I was recovering from surgery, I wore my hair in a bun on my head for four weeks Using this strap, I was able to sleep with my hair on top of my head in a comfortable way without it sliding. I like it very much.
The material is both firm and thin at the same time. A nice job was done on sewing the seams. Strength is one of the best things about Velcro. These are the issues. There is an error with the size. Medium was ordered, so I would say the medium would fit someone with a small medium head and a fat neck. While there is adjustment room, it can be "made work", but it is better to buy a SIZE UP for headroom and for that you will have to squeeze the neck all the way down. being said, let me say this. If you have your ears below your jawline, then the ear holes are of no use. I just leave my ears inside and then it works. Although it sounds crazy, I don't really give it a one star rating because it is made of quality material and is sewn well. I am just going to make due with the sizing issues because the quality of the material makes it worth three stars.
The moon face is very nice, as fluid collects under the chin, especially when you're taking Prednisone. By doing so, the fluid level is kept low. The adjustment is worth it, but takes a little getting used to. The material is of good quality, and the construction is solid.
I ordered a device for my wife to use with massage therapy following chemo, neck radiation, and surgery for lymphoma. It took awhile for this to arrive (it was lost in the mail for awhile) and when it did, the fit was not right. It was a little difficult to get the Velcro to reach my wife since the strap across the top of her head was not very long. However, I don't think it's a very good value for the price, despite the fact that it's likely to work fine.
Having purchased one of these twice, I do not intend to stop. The other one had to be replaced. My TMJ, also referred to as TMD, has been in treatment for almost 13 years. If you have a bad day, or just while sleeping, it will help relieve your pressure.
Wearing it 24/7 to help speed up my recovery is pretty comfortable, and I don't mind wearing it all the time.
