The first five times I used it over the course of a few days, it worked perfectly. Then, for the sixth time, I put it in the microwave, and it caught fire, burning a hole in the fabric. The item was not overheated by me. I've had one like this before, and it lasted a long time. As a result, take caution when purchasing. It didn't even last a week, and it caused a small scary fire and mess, as well as stinking up the entire apartment with burned rice. I was dissatisfied, especially since I was in excruciating pain and desperately needed relief.

Heat. The directions are simple and straightforward - don't go crazy with it heat. However, I have a similar product that is made of a heavy cotton fabric that looks like denim and has never melted in the microwave. The rice and seeds spilled into my bed because the subject pad developed a hole the size of a dime. Because I didn't notice the whole until after I found the seeds and rice, 90 seconds was insufficient for this pad. In the microwave, the fabric became melted.

First and foremost, it's a great fit; I'm a little short in the waist (26") and was concerned that it would be too big, as many adjustable items are. However, it appears to fit a wide range of sizes, including children. Second, I like that I can walk around with it rather than having to lean against a chair. It also maintains a high level of heat retention. br>br> It lasts for about 30 minutes. I heated it for 2 minutes after 40 minutes of cooking. br>br>In addition, the scent is pleasant and relaxing. If you suffer from chronic low back/lumbar pain and require heat therapy, this is the product for you.

This product has been in my possession for exactly one year, and I continue to give it five stars! At night, I like how heavy it is - It's reassuring to wear, and it stays put. I didn't like the velcro straps, so I just cut them off after about four months. The product was too heavy for me to keep it tight across my back, and the hook and loop kept catching on my clothing. I'm a big fan of the scent - I didn't like it at first, but it eventually came to symbolize relief [after the first few months, it becomes less intense]. When the pain becomes unbearable, I turn to it. I put it in my 1000 Watt micro for 90 seconds to warm it up, then take a break and relax - It's incredible how much of a difference it makes. After about half an hour of use, I usually need to run it for another minute. It also helps with the nerve pain in the front of my thighs. I wish I'd made a pillow case for it when I first started; It's now stained and grungy, and it's impossible to clean.

When heated, it has an odd odor, but I'm not sure how they'd avoid it. It keeps its temperature for a long time, but be careful not to burn yourself if you use it too hot. I like that it can be used as an ice or heat pack, and I've used it for everything from a post-surgery abdomen to a foot injury!.

This is incredible. It comes highly recommended from me. When I stand for long periods of time or sit on the couch to watch TV, my lower back hurts. I was skeptical of this product at first, but I followed the instructions to the letter. It was nice and warm after being microwaved for 70 seconds. I used the adjustable Velcro belt to secure it to my lower back, and I'm feeling a lot better now. It's something I strongly suggest! (Not suitable for children).

Heat relieves pain, especially the discomfort of standing while doing tasks such as cooking, which I broke my back last year and suffer from chronic pain as a result. Heating pads can help, but it's impossible to sit all day. This microwaveable pad fits comfortably around my waist/hips and, when combined with OTC analgesics, allows me to complete standing tasks with significantly less pain. This is a fantastic product that I wholeheartedly recommend!.

This microwaveable heating pad is made even more useful by the attached adjustable Velcro belt. I simply microwaved it for two minutes before wrapping it around my waist or hip and securing it with Velcro. I can walk around the kitchen and use it at work without having to hold the heating pad. I went out and purchased three more to give as Christmas presents.
