My husband has been using it for over 20 years. The only issue is that if you abuse it, as with any medicine, you can become addicted to it. According to what I understand, you'd have to use it every 10/ 20 minutes every day to become addicted, and he won't use anything else, including generics. I tried it and it really works; it even helped me get rid of a sinus infection!

Years ago, when I was a teenager with allergies, my mother gave me a Dristan squeeze bottle to clear my stuffy nose. I had no idea this product was still available, but after being dissatisfied with the ineffectiveness of what my doctor had prescribed to clear my sinuses (including that horrifying waterboarding torture device that squirts water up one nostril and out the other), I went online to see if Dristan was still available. I was able to locate it on Amazon and place an order for it. br>br>When the old remedy arrived and I tried it, my wife, who is a nurse, was skeptical. zowee! It really burns for a second or two, but your nose goes from barely being able to breathe through it to a free and clear airway in a matter of seconds! br>br>In some cases, newer isn't always better. This is a great way to get rid of allergies. resulting in a stuffy nose.
Overuse of any nasal spray can lead to problems worse than congestion, but Dristan Spray is safe and effective when used as directed.
I don't even squirt it into my nostrils. I lean back in my chair and simply allow one drop to drip into each nostril, take a deep breath, and within five minutes, I'm feeling fantastic! It's very effective. This is a product for which I would make a commercial!! I've tried others, but none have worked as well as Dristan!.
I sprayed twice, and while it was effective, it also dried out and thirsted my throat. br>br>I'll buy it again without a doubt.
