The same as an open cover, you remove the close cover to drain the pouch but it is basically the same process as an open cover. We offer covers that can be used with any type of ostomy. A lot of people who have a urostomy may benefit from the open end of the tube. Because their pouch has a value at the bottom, it made sense to have a top that is open at the bottom so they would be able to empty the pouch easily without having to remove the top.
