There's no doubt about it silicone The silicone in this product does definitely help scars and is more of a cream than a gel

I have tried a lot of scar creams, gels, patches and the like. Silicone helps scars for sure, but it takes time. Little goes a long way with this product it absorbs quickly and goes on smooth. There is no odor to speak of. In my case, I like to double duty and apply this, wait for the absorbency to occur, and then put on a scar patch.

Based on the reviews, I decided to give this scar cream a try after using another brand name scar cream that didn't seem to work. The scar on one of my recent minor injuries has considerably faded within the last couple of days. In the two other larger scars from my plastic surgery, the incisions appear less pronounced and the scarring has become softer. They look great already. I can't wait to see what they will look like after two weeks. Additionally, if you follow the directions precisely, you only need to use a tiny bit to cover the scar. Like other brands, it soaks in well and does not leave a greasy or sticky residue.

It has been working well for me for 2 weeks and the scar is lighter and smoother every day. apply it directly to the scar, rub it in, and leave it for about 20 minutes.
