(Scars left by 12 year old keloid for 32 year old Caucasian male. ). A keloid developed about 12 years ago in the middle of my chest. I got them at the age of 20 when I got a severe sunburn followed by getting the blisters torn open in a crowd at a music concert. The teen years are the best. Having been using Kelocote for about six months, I have nothing but good things to say about it. The tube I used previously was much smaller, so I used it for 2 or 3 months then, as well. have to agree that mine does take care of a lot of itching and discomfort pretty much instantly. I have not been able to notice much improvement regarding the appearance of keloid scars using this product. There's a chance it minimizes the redness of the skin, but it's pretty difficult to say The only way I would recommend to make buying this stuff worth the money is to buy the huge 60 gram tub. In a drug store, I can buy about 10 grams of this stuff for about 30 dollars, and for me, it is simply not worth that kind of money to pay that much In the case of people who claim to have completely erased their scars, they probably had hypertrophic instead of keloid scars. Find out what the difference is. I've also tried a product called celocyn that is similar to Kelocote and got almost no When I was a teenager, at the dermatologist I got shots for keloids. Visiting the hospital and receiving shots set me back 200 dollars. My keloids did flatten a little, but the results were very minimal and short-lived. Hopefully, I'll have a chance to do more shooting. (One round of steroids is not known to make a sensational difference in the keloids, and you will need several treatments. I do not believe that kelo cote and other silicone products are a waste of money, but I do believe there is a lot of marketing hype regarding how useful this product actually is. There will be different results for you than for me. Since most people who had great results with this product applied it right as their scars formed and tackled them early on, I think they were most likely to have great results. Alternatively, they might have actually had hypertrophic scarring and not keloids as stated earlier. You should apply this product very thinly while using it. Although the scars should be covered, there is no need to put a thick layer over them as it will only waste product. Sometimes it takes a while for it to dry too, which is a bit of a hassle. For a single sheet to dry completely, I would estimate 20 minutes. In the mornings, as I get ready for work, I sit next to a fan so the product can dry a bit faster. You will know when you are applying dry or wet product after using it a few times, since it stays somewhat sticky to the touch. It feels like it can and does rub off under the right amount of pressure, but it's quite durable. Because my scars are in the middle of my chest, I do feel like my seatbelt in the car rubs off a little bit of product, but a lot remains and you can pretty much feel it with your finger tip if there is still product left on them. It sometimes feels like there is a layer there that lasts for longer than 12 hours. You should visit a dermatologist if you can not live with your keloid scars and have the money to do so if you can not live with them. Basically, they are going to do a series of steroids shots into the keloid, and as mentioned, I've had them before. The shots were very non-painful and the pain was very minimal. The shots will probably be given a few times over the course of no more than a few These days, laser treatment is also available to treat keloids to reduce their redness. As I know this isn't going to be cheap, I just stash my money away for this. After my scars I get a lot of irritation, especially with the sun hitting them (even with my shirt on). I also have new small scars forming around the area years after the original scar tissue was removed. I guess it's nothing to worry about. It's at least not cancer or any type of malignancy threat. Now that I'm older, I'm more careful when I go out There's a lot of hard work involved. As long as we are alive, at least.
I was sceptical at first, but I spent all that money on this, and to my surprise, one of my Keliods is practically flat on my ear after just a few weeks. There was another one that was much larger and has drastically shrunk. In the past, I've tried everything, doctors were too expensive and not 100% effective. I tried the rubber band method twice (I don't recommend, it's painful and the area grows back twice as large when you do it). I found this to be the only thing I could use, and tea tree oil also worked for me. The following are my recommendations.
You're looking at it in its purest form. The system performs well as well. Scaraway's version is NOT recommended since they used a lesser quality silicone so their CEO's yacht could be upgraded. This is why the positive rating here is 75%, as opposed to 39% for Scaraway.
As a result of using this product, however, I noticed the redness was subsiding and the resulting irritation was becoming less intense. If I apply the Keloids for a few more months, I hope they will flatten out a bit, but I think I may be in need of steroids. Even though it is a bit expensive, it is worth the price. The difference between now and a month ago was immediately apparent to me. takes too long to dry and is very sticky, so if I plan on going out, I will use the silicone strip over it instead. Or, I just apply it during the day and let it run its course. Based on what I read, I understand that it may not work for everyone, but it works for this woman of color. It just takes a little patience on the part of the people. Allow the product to If it can lighten the scar, I am fine with that. I'm aware it may not completely remove the scar, but I would still like it if it could lighten it.
A doctor recommended this to my wife to help with some scarring and keloids after she suffered from burn injuries. A lot of people have been very pleased with the results. quite expensive, but I believe that the results are still well worth the cost we have purchased a couple of the larger tubes in the last few months and are still seeing beneficial results.
As soon as I was able to take the bandages off my wound, I began using this product on 2nd degree burns that I sustained mid October. There is a marked improvement in the look of the scar. There hasn't been a complete disappearance of it but it is only 3 weeks early. However, trust me, it looks totally different from what it used to look like. The product is fantastic!.
I am still seeing no difference, even after a lot of time. My home remedies are working better now, so I'm going back to them.
Those little tubes are a thing of the past. A tube like this is larger than a tube like this that costs 20 dollars.
